We will meet in Trujillo's main square at the agreed-upon time and begin our visit at the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon. Here, we will explore the ancient Moche sanctuaries and learn about the society of the Trujillo Valley during that period. Afterward, we will head to the Huaca del Arco Iris, also known as the Huaca del Dragón, where we will discover the beliefs and traditions of the Chimú culture through its stelae and murals carved in adobe. Next, we will visit Huanchaco, a charming fishing village known for its iconic reed boats, the Caballitos de Totora. You will have free time to enjoy lunch. We will then continue to Chan Chan, the ancient citadel built by the Chimú. This World Heritage Site is the largest adobe city in the Americas. During our tour, we will explore the Nik An walls, the ceremonial plazas, the granaries, and the ancient cemeteries. We will finish our guided tour in Chan Chan and return to the main square of Trujillo, with an estimated arrival time of 6:00 PM.
