Discover an unforgettable adventure in the Galapagos Islands as you explore the stunning islands of Santa Cruz and Isabela. Observe giant tortoises in their natural habitat and snorkel alongside sea lions, sea turtles, and colorful tropical fish. In Isabela, you can also spot the famous Galapagos penguins, one of the most unique species in the archipelago.

You will meet your touguide in the Baltra airport, which is the airport you need to fly in to start this tour. This is the airport of Santa Cruz Island. Code: GPS
At arrival, you will meet their tour guide who will be holding a sign with your name. You will then visit the Santa Cruz highlands. The first stop will be the twin craters, which are impressive holes were formed by magma (lava) domes which hardened on the outside but continued to flow on the inside, leaving huge but empty chambers that collapsed with the passing of time, creating this breathtaking scenery that resembles two pit crates.
Here you can observe Galapagos giant tortoises in their natural habitat, roaming freely throughout the area. During the visit, a certified guide will share information about these incredible species, their way of life, and their importance in the islands' ecosystem. You will also have lunch there.
The next stop is the lava tunnels, underground formations created by ancient lava flows on the islands. When the outer layer of lava cooled, it formed a solid crust while the lava inside continued to flow. Over time, the inner lava moved, leaving behind a natural tunnel and creating these impressive volcanic passages that can be explored today. At the end of this activity, the tour guide will accompany you to the hotel to check in.
You will leave the hotel at 08h00 to the pier of Puerto Ayora, where we will take your boat to Santa Fe. Santa Fe Island is located South East of Santa Cruz Island. The snorkel will take place in a bay called Fisherman Bay in Santa Fe Island; here you may spot sea turtles, rays, sea lions, fishes, Galapagos sharks and many more in this rocky reef. Lunch is on board. The tour also visits a beach called Playa Escondida. After this you will go back to Santa Cruz.
In the morning, around 6:00 a.m., you will take a ferry to Isabela Island. The ferry ride takes approximately two hours, departing at 7:00 a.m. and arriving around 9:00 a.m. Upon arrival, you will check in at a comfortable hotel. The rest of the morning will be free to explore the town, and you may rent a bicycle to discover the area at your own pace.
At 2:00 p.m., you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the dock to board a boat for a short ride to Tintoreras Islet, located near Isabela Island. During the guided walk around the islet, you will have the opportunity to observe marine iguanas, sea lions resting on the rocks, and even the famous Galápagos penguins. After the walk, you will enjoy a snorkeling session in the clear waters surrounding the islet, where you may swim alongside sea turtles and observe a variety of tropical fish and other marine species in their natural habitat.
You will be picked up at 11am at your hotel and head to the dock and board a boat for a short ride to Los Tuneles de Cabo Rosa. Your guide will lead you through the intricate lava tunnels and arches that make up Los Tuneles, explaining the geological history and significance of this natural wonder. Snorkel in the clear, shallow waters surrounding the tunnels, where you’ll encounter a breathtaking array of marine life. Swim alongside graceful sea turtles, colorful tropical fish, and perhaps even the fascinating seahorses that inhabit the area. Explore underwater caves and marvel at the incredible underwater landscapes created by millennia of volcanic activity.
In the morning you will go for a hike to Sierra Negra Volcano. This is a trek uphill along gentle slopes through lush, fern-covered trees. Once you reach the rim of the volcano, you will admire the second largest crater in the world at a whopping six miles in diameter and plunging down 300 feet to the bottom of the caldera. If you want you want you can continue your hike to Volcan Chico or just come back to the town. Later you will take the ferry back to San Cruz Island and check in in the hotel.
You will depart your hotel at around 7.30am to your hike to Tortuga Bay. This will be around one hour hike. Arriving at Tortuga Bay, you'll be greeted by a pristine beach that offers the perfect setting for relaxation and exploration. You can relax the rest of the afternoon there, and you will be able to kayak in this area. At around 11.30 you will start to hike back to go to to town for lunch.
After lunch you will walk to the Charles Darwin Research Station, a renowned scientific institution dedicated to the conservation and study of the Galapagos' unique flora and fauna. You will learn about ongoing research projects, conservation efforts, and the importance of protecting the delicate ecosystem of the islands. After that, you will got back to the hotel.
You will be picked up at your hotel and be transferred to the airport to take your flight back to Quito or Guayaquil.
