Go through the gate of the Seven Coloured Earth of Chamarel, ask for Ebony Forest, proceed and follow signage that lead to the visitor centre.
What to expect
Your 3-4 hour guided bird watching tour starts with a brief visit of the museum and an exclusive visit of the bird release aviaries to spot the wild Echo Parakeet and Pink Pigeon. Discover how Ebony Forest is committed to saving endemic birds and observe the forest restoration efforts to recreate large areas of native forest. Walk or use the safari jeeps to visit the Flycatcher Raised Walkway and Sublime Point. Savour Mauritian delights at Sublime Point while your guide highlights the mountains and rugged scenery of the wild south.
