Discover the famous historical monuments of mainland Greece! This three-day tour is designed to discover the qualities of beautiful Peloponnese. The Corinth Canal and the ancient city with its museum, the famous Mycenae, the Ancient theatre of Epidavros are waiting for us to recount their rich history and to carry us into the past. Last but not least Olympia. A sanctuary of ancient Greece known for having been the site of the Olympic Games in classical times.

    ATHENS/CAPE SOUNIO

    On your arrival at Athens airport you will be greeted transfered to your Athens hotel in the comfort of an air conditioned car. In the afternoon drive along the coastal road, passing the wonderful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni & Varkiza to the most Southern point of Attica, Cape Sounio, where the white marble pillars of the Temple of Poseidon stand. On the way, you have a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf and the little islands offshore. After visiting the Temple of Poseidon, you have time to walk at leisure on the rocky promontory of Sounio. Return to your hotel. Accommodation: Hotel Dorian Inn 3* Standard or similar / Hotel Novotel 4* Superior or similar. Overnight in Athens on a bed-breakfast basis.

    ATHENS – CANAL OF CORINTH – EPIDAURUS –MYCENAE – OLYMPIA

    Breakfast in the hotel. Depart for the Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive to Epidaurus and visit the ancient theatre. The UNESCO’S world heritage listed monument is reputed to be the birthplace of Apollo's son Asklepios, the healer and was the most celebrated healing center of the classical world. Epidaurus is probably most famous for its theatre, one of the best preserved classical Greek buildings and still used today due to its amazing acoustics. Proceed to Nauplia (short stop) and through the plain of Argos arrive to Mycenae. Visit the archaeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. In the afternoon depart for Olympia, the birth place of the Olympic Games, through the cities of Tripolis and Megalopolis (short stop). Accommodation: Hotel Antionios 3* Standard or similar / Hotel Arty Grand 4* Superior or similar. Dinner and overnight in Ancient Olympia on half-board basis.

    OLYMPIA - ATHENS

    Breakfast in the hotel. Visit the archaeological site of Olympia with the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium and the archaeological Museum with unique artefacts and the famous statue “Hermes” of Praxiteles and many other. Drive via Patras and see the famous Antirion Bridge which is considered to be the longest and most modern in Europe. Continue your route with your driver and arrive back to Athens in the late afternoon. In the evening (after 20:00 pm.) transfer to Athens airport and flight back. Arrange your flights accordingly, otherwise we suggest you book for an additional night in Athens.
