    Morning pickup from hotel and start the trek to Wedebeye, Passing by the beautiful villages and the surrounding mountain is a great insight to the life of the Ethiopian Highlanders.

    Lalibela and the surrounding is reach in History, most of it which dates back to the Ealy christian era and the 12th century. The first work of King Lalibela before building the 11 Rock church in Lalibela was Asheton Maryam monastery, As you make the ascent climb towards the monastery, the views becoming increasingly impressive. Continue the Hike to Wedebeye through the narrow path called Merebabru, Late afternoon arrival at Wedebeye.

    Start the morning hike to Abune Yoseph mountain, the third highest peak in Ethiopia, the Abune Yoseph massif offers visitors stunning views,birds, flora and wildlife viewing opportunities. Impressive array of flora and fauna including giant lobelia, troops of gelada baboons, and the rare Ethiopia wolf. Located north of Lalibela, the afro-montane environment offers a perfect complement to the cultural and historical experience to the Ethiopian highlanders. climb to over 4,000m However, those that make the climb to the top find the views and experience well worth it!
