Visit the Sapporo Clock Tower, one of the city's most beloved landmarks. Built in 1878 during Hokkaido's pioneer era, this charming wooden building still chimes on the hour and houses a small museum on the city's early history.
Walk through Odori Park, a lush green belt running through the heart of downtown Sapporo. Stretching roughly 1.5 km, it offers fountains, flowerbeds and seasonal events, and is the main venue for the famous Sapporo Snow Festival.
Admire the Former Hokkaido Government Office Building, an elegant red-brick neo-baroque landmark completed in 1888. Affectionately known as 'Akarenga' (Red Bricks), it is surrounded by gardens and ponds and remains a symbol of Sapporo's pioneer history.
See the Sapporo TV Tower standing at the eastern end of Odori Park. Completed in 1957, this 147-meter red tower is an icon of the city skyline, and its observation deck offers panoramic views over Odori Park and the surrounding mountains.
