Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Total snow accumulations between 5 and 8 inches with up to 8 to 10 inches along the south facing slopes of the southwest Adirondacks. * WHERE...Hamilton, Northern Fulton, and Northern Herkimer Counties. * WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Highest accumulations will be along the south facing slopes of the southwest Adirondacks with snowfall rates up to 0.5 to 1.5" per hour at times especially this afternoon into this evening.
