Severity: Minor Urgency: Unknown

The Liaoyuan Meteorological Observatory in Jilin Province issued a blue warning signal for strong winds at 9:50 am on April 12, 2026: It is expected that within the next 24 hours, all townships (streets) in Longshan District, Xi an District, and High tech Development Zone in our city will experience southwest winds of 5-6 levels, with instantaneous winds reaching 7-8 levels. Close doors and windows, reinforce structures such as enclosures, sheds, and billboards that are easily moved by the wind, properly place outdoor items that are susceptible to strong winds, and cover building materials; 3. Take proactive measures for water operations in relevant waters and for passing vessels, such as returning to port for shelter from wind or taking detours; 4. Pedestrians should avoid riding bicycles as much as possible and avoid lingering under billboards, temporary structures, etc. when it is windy; 5. Relevant departments and units should pay attention to fire prevention in forests, grasslands, and other areas.
