Severity: Moderate Urgency: Expected

Areas of drizzle with pockets of freezing drizzle will continue into early Saturday morning. The bulk of the freezing drizzle will be in the high terrain where temperatures were at or below freezing and untreated roads maybe icy. However...even some of the lower elevations had temperatures around 32 degrees which may lead to some patchy black ice. Plan on allowing extra travel time and be especially careful on bridges and overpasses. This is particularly true in the high terrain where temperatures were a few degrees below freezing. Pedestrians should also be careful in parking lots and walkways which may have patches of black ice. Temperatures will warm above freezing by mid to late Saturday morning alleviating any issues.

Northern Litchfield; Southern Litchfield; Northern Berkshire; Southern Berkshire; Bennington; Western Windham; Eastern Windham Mar 6, 07:07 PM - Mar 7, 12:00 AM
Severity: Moderate Urgency: Expected

Radar shows an area of freezing drizzle and mist tracking into portions of western New England. Since temperatures in this area remain near or below freezing, especially in the higher elevations, a light glaze of ice could result in slippery travel conditions this evening and early tonight. Motorists and pedestrians should remain aware of the possibility for icy surfaces through this evening and tonight. Elevated roads such as bridges and overpasses, and highway on and off ramps will be particularly vulnerable to icing, as well as parking lots and other untreated walkways.
