Greatstaff, naff location.
Pros:

The location appeared to be an industrial estate in the middle of nowhere. Actually it was in walking distance of the of city centre but there was nothing cool or charming about the immediate vacinity of the hotel.

Pros:

Pobyt byl na poslední chvíli, tudíž pochopitelně cena vyšší, ovšem při příjezdu pán na recepci velice milý, pokoj odpovídal očekávání, při odjezdu též slečna velice milá a celkově tu panovala přátelská atmosféra. Určitě doporučuji. 👏🏼

Exceptionally friendly and supportive staff! The staff was proactively asking questions and providing solutions or offers to accommodate our needs (at the reception and in the restaurant).

Cons:

Small thing. The tv was not connected to a WIfi. However plenty of TV channels (Ina few languages) were available to choose from.

Hotel Mercure Salzburg City – Comfortable, Convenient and Great Value
Pros:

I stayed at Hotel Mercure Salzburg City for two nights during my time in Salzburg, and it turned out to be an excellent base for exploring the city. What made the stay even better was being upgraded for free to a premium room, which included a complimentary mini bar — a very welcome perk after a day of sightseeing.

The premium room was spacious, clean and modern, with a comfortable bed, good lighting and plenty of storage space. The free mini bar was a nice extra touch, allowing me to relax in the evening without needing to head back out for drinks. The hotel felt quiet and well-run, which made it easy to rest, even though it’s located in a busy and well-connected part of the city.

Location is one of the hotel’s strongest points. It is less than a 10-minute walk from Salzburg’s main train station, which is ideal if you’re arriving by rail or planning day trips to places like Hallstatt or Vienna. It’s also around a 15-minute walk to the centre of the Old Town, meaning you can reach Salzburg’s most famous sights — such as the Cathedral, Mozart’s birthplace and the Hohensalzburg Fortress — without needing public transport.

Airport access is also extremely straightforward. Bus number 2 from Salzburg Airport stops just a minute’s walk from the hotel, making transfers simple, quick and inexpensive. This is particularly helpful if you have luggage or an early flight.

I would recommend Hotel Mercure Salzburg City to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel that balances convenience with good value. It’s not overly luxurious, but it offers everything you need for a smooth and enjoyable stay in Salzburg, making it a smart choice for both short city breaks and longer trips.

Zentral und das Zimmer hat alles was man braucht

Die Lage ist sehr gut, alles ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar

Ich finde das Frühstücksbüffet mit €26,00 etwas teuer, bei der Rezeption hätte ich verstanden, es ist kein Aufpreis zu bezahlen, dies wurde nicht eindeutig erklärt. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig, bedeutet, zwei Zimmer weiter schaut jemand etwas lauter fern und man hört dies in seinem Zimmer. Das WC im Zimmer ist vielleicht etwas knapp bemessen, ab 1,90cm Körpergröße wird es eng

Gesamt eine große Enttäuschung - nicht empfehlenswert

2 Nächte fast ohne Schlaf da ab 5:30h und bis nach Mitternacht entweder die Klimaanlage oder ein Versorgungsschacht laute Geräusche verursachten und diese nicht abgestellt werden konnten - Hotel befindet sich gerade im EG im Umbau ohne dies kundzutun - trotz Nachfrage bei der Reception ob es eine Bar im Hotel gibt und dieses vom Personal bejaht wurde handelte es sich um den provisorischen kargen Frühstücksraum ( mit anscheinend Jugendlichen die auf den Dienstschluss des Personals warteten ) und einem äußerst eingeschränkten Getränkeangebot )
Generell hatten wir den Eindruck das der Gast eher geduldet wird und die Devise „no Service is our success“ demonstriert wird.
Hatten dieses Hotel in viel besserer Erinnerung!
