The hotel was in a great location about 10 minutes walk from the city center, in a quiet area. The parking possibility is a big advantage as well. Veyr clean facility, room modern, clean and tidy. Friendly personnel. My wife has milk and dairy products allergy - the personnel at breakfast was very helpful to prepare for her breakfast at wish.
We will for sure come back!
Nothing to complain about. Important for us was parking, cleanness, friednliness of the staff and wilingness to help my wife with milks allergy food for breakfast. These all aspects were fulfilled.
The location is perfect! Quite at night an still close to the city center! The people working in the Hotel were very helpful and kind! Parking is good!
It’s is very old and everything feels and looks very very outdated and worn out. The bathroom wasn’t really clean with dust and hairs here and there. For the price per night it just wasn’t good enough. The restaurant is okay but I recommend to go out in the city to eat!
Close to train
Very small rooms, pretty dingy
Perfect location, great breakfast and excellent service. Thanks to my Platinum status, I received a room upgrade to one with a complimentary minibar that is refilled daily. The staff were super responsive and very helpful. Mirabell Palace is just a short walk away and the bus stop is only about 200 meters from the hotel.
Tip: Salzburg is currently running a promotion where one receives a free Mobility Pass for the entire duration of your stay. Be sure to ask the hotel to issue it for you. If the promotion is available during your travel dates, you won’t need to buy the regular transport pass. Email the hotel in advance so they can prepare and issue the Mobility Pass before your arrival.
Mercure is in a perfect location for a Salzburg holiday. We walked to most places, and if we needed to use the bus or train, the Salzburg visitor pass covered the travel which was amazing. The staff were absolutely amazing and so accommodating with any request and advice on sightseeing. The room itself was lovely, the beds were comfortable and the AC was great on the very hot days.
The only snag was not having a phone in the room to contact reception easily.
The staff are very professional. We were treated very well.
The terrace and breakfast experience were very positive.
The bed was large and that was also a positive aspect.
There was a group of teenage americans that were a bit loud during the late hours of the night. This is not a problem in itself, but highlights a slight lack of soundproofing in the rooms.
We were often in the dark in the room with our courtains shut, as the window would give direct line of sight into the bathroom door. Maybe consider having a second courtain that blocks the view but lets in the light.

The Mercure was very conveniently located, about 15 minutes walk from the old town. The rooms had every thing that one needs. Breakfast was expensive and only a buffet was available. There was no a la carter menu so you coulden't havf say, just a poached egg on toast r
