This hotel was conveniently located next to a bus stop. A lot of restaurants near by, beach was only 9 minutes walk and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a 5 star breakfast. 🌟
Staff was incredible, rooms were kept clean, and the breakfast options were great!
Convenient bus to town. Very friendly staff. Great restaurant and bar. Beach nearby is amazing and quaint property
Excellent property with helpful staff. They go the extra step to ensure your stay is enjoyable and comfortable.
Lovely hotel and very friendly staff. Try the little tavern across the street run by a family. Lovely food at very good prices. The beach is the best in greece and just 10 minutes walk.
We had a amazing time at the hotel! Breakfast was delicious. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The location was also convenient!
The experience my friends and family had there was amazing (June 2025)- first of all, this was not the hotel we picked but after going to the hotel we picked and did not like, a friend remembered this hotel.
Let me tell you, you are welcomed by Eliana (spelling), who was so professional and helpful….to Yianni that drove us around and even went to the store and bought my cousin some items she needed,to the best outside bartender I have been around- Thomas. They made it very difficult to leave and I rate them 500 out of 100. The rooms were great as well and we ate dinner outside on the lawn and the breakfasts were better than all the hotels I have been to on this trip -6.
I can not wait to go back!
Beautiful and well maintained hotel with wonderful staff.
It is worthwhile renting a car to enjoy venturing out to thw ancient temples of Dionysus and Ceres, or other sites.
Amazing boutique hotel - basic rooms with lovely Korres toiletries. The staff were fabulous - nothing was too much trouble. Delicious breakfasts & a great bar. 5 minute walk to the beach & a bus to the old town outside - amazing stay. I can’t recommend this place enough
Excellent group of staff. Great location with farm, beach, restaurants, and the hotel with swimming pool, a wonderful restaurant for Great breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Best of all, rooms are cleaned with new, fresh bedding every day. The last thing is that the bus stop is right across the hotel, and for 2 euros transfer to and from the town to the hotel
We luved our time at Lagos Mare ...
Greeted with drinks upon arrival set the tone ...
This is an older property but well maintained...
Our room was big, clean with a good sized deck with a partial sea view ....
Breakfast buffet had good options... We liked that they cooked your eggs to order ... We found the dinner menu limited but were eating in town so it wasn't an issue ...
The pool bar was stocked with top shelf liquor had a master mixologist!! Try the cucumber martini its amazing !!
It is a 20 euro cab fare each way into Chora but a short walk into the little seaside village of Agios Prokopios ... So its quite at night and we slept well... (They didnt seem to have a shuttle into town ... )
Over all the place has a very relaxing vibe ...
The only cons we found was the music... It was like 1960's Vegas themed ...
The shining stars here are the staff ... Right down to the house keeper Nancy !!
We would definitely stay here again ...
Very nice pool. It was nice to see that the pool never closed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lady in reception was fantastic. She sold me bus tickets and showed me the bus stop next to the hotel. You could take the bus or walk to the beach. Close to restaurants and the village. You could take the bus to the main port. Room was spacious, clean and had a nice balcony with a sitting area and a clothes rack for drying laundry. Room had a refrigerator and coffee machine with high end coffee pods. Friends had laundry done on site and it was fast and reasonably priced. Restaurant on site was FANTASTIC.
A little far from the beach
Wonderful resort and location. 5 minute walk from the best beach in Naxos. Also, resort is located in front of public bus stop making it very easy to travel into the old town.
Eleni and all staff are super friendly and very helpful. Rooms are very clean and spacious.
Beautiful property, clean rooms, and friendly staff. I would definitely return. I don't have any complaints. The location was close to the beach and a short drive to the port where many restaurants and shopping are located. We got the suite and it was very spacious.
Lovely place to stay away from main centre of Naxos. Beach just down the road & plenty of places to eat or bars for afternoon drinks. Enjoyed the full breakfast buffet. Had an omelette 1 morning. Reception staff friendly & organised taxi for us to main town for the night. Reception also organised hire of ATV for us to use. Would stay here again.
We so enjoyed the location, the food and the staff of Lagos Mare. The pool area for breakfast and lounging was so relaxing. Rooms were about a 3 star but totally adequate and we slept well. The staff made our trip very special. Every one of their recommendations, from restaurants to private tours and beach clubs, were spot on. If you don’t need 5 star accommodations, but enjoy an authentic experience, book here. You can’t go wrong!
And their van drivers were the best!
We had a very nice stay at the Largos Mare while in Naxos. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the bus stop and only a short walk to a lovely beach. Our room was nice and each staff member was friendly and helpful. We had a very nice dinner at the hotel on the outside lawn and breakfast each morning was very good with lots of choices. We enjoyed the pool at the property and the lounge chairs that surrounded it. This hotel met our every expectation and we would not hesitate to return.
This isn’t the first time we’ve stayed at the Lagos Mare Hotel, located just above Aghios Prokopios Beach. The location is perfect, only 350 meters from one of the most beautiful beaches in Naxos, and centrally positioned for those who want to explore this incredible island further. The atmosphere is extremely relaxing, and the staff are very attentive to the needs of their guests. The breakfast is plentiful, with no rush, allowing you to start your day at your own pace.
The “1924” restaurant offers a menu featuring Cycladic specialties and dishes inspired by Smyrna (the founder's hometown, from which he arrived in 1924), along with an extensive wine list featuring both local wines and those from other parts of Greece. The wide variety of cocktails to sip at the poolside bar is also worth noting.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a slice of the Cyclades in total relaxation.
We enjoyed our stay at Lagos Mare. The staff was very hospitable and helpful and provided great advice on what areas to visit on the island. The property was clean and conveniently located at a bus stop, near grocery stores and restaurants and within walking distance to Agios Prokopios Beach . I would this property.
