So unhygienic defo avoid!
Pros:

I NEVER write a bad review for anywhere. We are so laid back as long as somewhere is clean and food is ok then we are happy. We are not fussy with food or anything.
This hotel is horrific. The hygiene level is -0. I honestly could not believe how dirty the place was. The tables ( if you can get one thats cleared) the cutlery and the floors omg! apart from reception area, looked like they had NEVER been cleaned! everything was dirty. We did speak with guest relations who said she would make sure we had a "special table" for eating every time we were in the restraunt. But even still it was so unclean I couldn't sit at it.
Towels and bed sheets had stains all over them. Asked for them to be changed which they were but still stained just not as bad. All the toilets round in the hotel I couldn't use as they were so dirty or flooded, had to walk back to the room every time which was quite a walk. We were all inclusive but didnt touch the bar, beer was ok rest was horrible, food was ok, but only just. If you are fussy you definitely wont be able to eat this.
We spent all out time on the beach which was Beautiful and ate out most nights which was so cheap and nice. But this hotel should actually be closed down for how un hygienic it is. Staff are nice, entertainment at night was good. Hard Rock Cafe was brilliant.

Awful
Pros:

Avoid this place! Somebody else's faeces was on the bed and wall when we checked into our room, beard trimmings around the sink, mould all over the bath and shower curtain, the room was so dirty and clearly wasn't ready for new people to check in despite us waiting from 11 until 2 to check in. The room door was half a jar when shut which we had to wedge a chair behind to feel safe at night as we were staying in one of the bungalows, when we told the reception about the state of the room and how we simply wished to change rooms we were told we had to pay for this to be done or wait for the maid service the next day, the faeces sheets were never changed our whole stay.

The food was absolutely disgusting and made me really poorly, despite going all inclusive we paid to eat somewhere else daily. Staff were very unwelcoming, the whole facility was dirty and outdated, absolutely nothing like the photos. We was shown a video from a guest that shown days before we arrived staff and guest fighting, throwing chairs, using metal poles as weapons in the outdoor area near the pool area surrounded by other guest including children.

We ended up leaving after 4 nights as it was so dirty and we felt so unsafe. When I arrived home I tried going through love holidays and directly through the hotel for a refund for the days we didn't stay and wasn't helped atal, the hotel infact lied and said they were never made aware of our early check out despite me handing the key back to reception and having a breif conversation with a staff member at reception stating why we were leaving early.

Literally avoid this place it's absolutely awful.

Dangerous Hotel
Pros:

I took my daughter and myself on this holiday that was shown in the hoilday photos from the Lovehoildays adverts, this was an A/I board, the food was atrocious has was our accommodation rooms where dirty the same has the dinning room , we had to eat out with many other folk at cost no wifi or phone connectivity to a complaint via company we booked with, you, can see I caught my toes on a cracked tiles around pool, my advise is to stay way from this hotel, and I have had no redress from my company to date, hence the delay in my response.

Think twice
Pros:

Read the reviews before you go and check out peoples pictures.

We arrived to the hotel about 11:30 pm to the check-in desk on first look reception seemed lovely but warm air-conditioning didn’t seem to be on inside there was one man at the reception desk checking in a group ahead of us he handed us what can only be prescribed as a prescription pad that needed lots of detail. There was no pens provided so it was a way to fill in the form whilst it was very warm in reception once filled in you had to go to the desk to pay your Visa and hand that back to the reception desk before you could get your key to the room we were then shown to our room after checking in and that’s when the main issue started

The room we first went into was really basic compared to the pictures on the booking site the gentleman left and I instantly knew I didn’t want to be in that room. The air-conditioning wasn’t working properly. The furniture was chewed to pieces. Everything was very basic. I went into the wardrobe and found all of the previous occupants, bedding, towels, and rubbish shoved in. I went to the reception and it was now about midnight. I told them that I wanted a new room they offered to clean it however I said no I would like a different room as the air-conditioner is also not working properly. I was shown to a second room where the air-conditioning wouldn’t work and the pillows on the bed were mouldy. He then also showed me another further room. We ended up staying in for a few days the air-conditioning worked and it smelt like fresh paint however the room was a mess. It was the cleanest after three that we were shown that night. We were then shown back to the second room where the maintenance man made me climb through a window to test the pipes were working the temperature said 16 on the thermostat however was hotter in the room than outside.
One of the days in the room before we moved I got locked in the bathroom due to half the door handle in the bathroom being missing. It was very sharp edges and could’ve hurt someone there was ants all through the bathroom. Cigarette burns on the shower curtain as well as mould at the bottom. The shower head and top was disgusting and when you lifted the showerhead to hang it on the hook, the water pressure would cut off due to the holes not being in the correct bank.

We’ve eventually had four different rooms and the final room was nicer. We had complained and initially we booked flights to come home as there were multiple issues at the hotel.

We tried to get food within the first breakfast and lunch sessions the next day however we were unsuccessful due to the state of the restaurant. There was no tables no chairs no plates people were grabbing food with their bare hands filling up turned hats with as much food as they could bread hanging out of their pockets. It was horrendous meal services were like that most nights and multiple people that we’ve met through the holiday have also stated that they had issues with the rooms and the food as well as the service all inclusive drinks were served in small Little dentist cups. You could only get glass if you paid or tipped the waiters the snack bar was a waste of time and Wood sometimes refused to serve you food depending on your nationality. There was however a selection of staff that were genuinely really friendly and nice but overall the experience aren’t that hotel was dismal. We ended up taking money from our accounts and made sure we ate out most nights. The nights we were able to eat at the hotel the food we did enjoy was nice however this was towards the back end of the week once we started tipping everyone we finally got the all-inclusive we paid for I understand tipping culture however if you’ve paid for an all-inclusive holiday, you shouldn’t then have to pay tips to be able to get the service you should’ve been getting before.

on a positive note when we did complain to one of the female management team things did get better in the sense. We got a clean room a designated table as the kitchen manager also came into here our complaint and we were offered free late checkout as well as a free excursion. some of the staff members were genuinely really helpful however there was quite a major majority that were we do appreciate all those that did support us through the day to try and make it a better holiday

Staff couldn't do enough. Entertainment was good.
Pros:

The staff were absolutely amazing. 100% The room was disgusting. Meal times were horrendous, literally like a cattle market, people pushing in and filling their plates like it was their last meal and leaving most of it. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If you want this kind of holiday, go to Pontins. The entertainment was good. If you want pizza during the day, don't go to the pizza snack bar, as most of the time, there was no pizza.

Review of Our Stay at Hotel El Mouradi Club Selima (Sousse/Monastir, Tunisia)

We stayed in room 3705. Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was quite disappointing. Below are the details.

Room and Cleanliness

Bed linens and towels were changed 3x during the week. One towel had brown spots

We didn’t receive any towels on the first day and had to ask for them.

There was no Wi-Fi signal in the room – it is only available in the main building.

The main light and one bedside lamp in the room did not work.

The toilet tank didn’t refill, so we couldn’t flush. We had to use the small hygiene shower to rinse the toilet manually. We sent an email describing the issue, but received no response.

There was no hair dryer

The staff spoke little to no English.

Restaurant and Food

Staff cleaned the tables very slowly. Often, there were no free seats available, or the supposedly clean tables were still dirty.

The area around the food stations was often covered in food remains, as many guests didn’t know how to serve themselves properly.

Some guests would take up to four plates at once and leave most of the food untouched. (Although this isn’t the hotel’s fault, it’s disheartening to see such waste in a country where poverty is present.)

The food lacked flavor, often had a strange aftertaste, or was overly spiced with a specific, overpowering seasoning.

For breakfast, we mainly ate butter with jam, and for lunch and dinner, Margherita pizza – or we ordered via Glovo.

A few traditional Tunisian desserts were quite good.

The salami was cut into thick chunks rather than slices, served very unappetizingly – as if it were meant for pets.

Plates were often dirty, especially on the bottom side, and the cutlery too.

In Europe, this place wouldn't have any stars and probably wouldn't even be called a hotel. The health inspector would shut down the restaurant.

Overall impression of cleanliness in the restaurant: very poor and unhygienic.

Drinks

The drink selection was very limited and not clearly labeled anywhere.

Beer was served in small glass or even plastic cups, rarely in proper beer mugs.

Some waiters were rude and unfriendly, although a few were kind, smiling, and helpful – we were happy to tip those.

Cocktails: they only seemed to have one. When I ordered a Piña Colada, they didn’t know what it was. The one they serve is overly sweet and red-yellow in color. There were also two others – a green one (tasted like menthol/toothpaste, with no noticeable alcohol) and a purple one (name unknown).

Soft drinks like Coca-Cola and Fanta were poured from 1.5-liter plastic bottles straight into glasses – this is not typical. A proper service would include a 0.5-liter bottle and a glass.

Pool and Beach

All sun loungers at the pool were occupied at all times.

The beach is naturally beautiful – soft sandy shore, clean and warm sea water, with occasional seaweed. However, the presence of small trash items, especially cigarette butts, detracted from the overall image.

There are sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach.

Two horses were tied up on the beach all day in the blazing sun, visibly exhausted and skinny – this was very disturbing to me.

Dance activities on the beach were well-organized and enjoyable – praise for that.

The presence of lifeguards and police on the beach gave a sense of safety.

Evening Program

The evening mini-disco for kids was cute and entertaining.

Overall Impression

If you're on a tight budget and not very demanding – and the above-mentioned shortcomings don’t bother you – this might be the right hotel for you. We were indeed price-limited, but still hoped for a better experience. Above all, we wanted to experience Tunisia – and that goal we did achieve.

Comparison with Another Hotel

We spent one day at Hotel El Mouradi Tozeur – there, we were impressed with the delicious food and the exceptional cleanliness of the restaurant. At one point, we thought Tunisian cuisine was poor, but thanks to that visit and the local food nearby, we realized the problem was clearly with our primary hotel.
Otherwise, Tunisia is wonderful and we absolutely do not regret the trip. What we'll remember most are the Chebika Oasis, the Sahara, the Star Wars filming location, camel riding...

Very poor
Pros:

It’s with a heavy heart that I write this but can only tell the truth.
Strange I was the only person getting off the coach ! And the coach driver laughs on arrival looked quite nice but sadly it was down hill from there room was old and dated ! To the point the beige carpets had stains all over the place , the door to the balcony decided to stop locking so had to go and get them to sort it !!!!

To be fair it only took 1 hour 30 for the guy to turn up and fix it .
The food hall was ok but everything was the same every day with a twist but chicken, fish and salad the best meal was the continental breakfast of such ! I think everyone got the Tunisian trots lol .
Children’s menu was none existent even down to ice cream a mear basic ! We couldn’t even have toast for breakfast finally I had to complain and with all due respects both ice cream and toaster was there the next day but not for long , the adults were like Vultures so the kids didn’t get a look in .

The pool area was nice and clean and the pool
Slide bar was shut or basically never opened so you had to go into the bar but with cues constantly an they only had 1 beer pump and very limited drinks but if you paid for the extra and got the decent drinks you Didn’t have to cue which pee’d a few people off as we still had paid with in the package so why Be treated differently .

This year at the end of season they said they were refitting the hotel and updating it .sadly not a 4 Star like love holidays said maybe 20 years ago but now more like a 2 star at a push
Would I go to Tunisia again probably yes they this chain then at the mo I’d have to say No !!!!!!!!
P.S read the reviews and believe what people have wrote

Avoid this place.. it’s cheap but definitely not cheerful
Pros:

At the price we paid, we weren’t expecting a 5 star service but this place doesn’t even make it to the 3 stars it claims.
Awful place, substandard rooms and rude staff. Outside our room was a wee stained mattress for the duration of our stay.
We asked for extra pillows.. they took 4 times of asking and 48 hours to arrive.

All inclusive but food choices were very limited. Tried to order a gin and tonic.. but they had no tonic and told us we’d need to buy our own tonic from the mini mart.

My wrist band broke off, I was told I’d need to pay to have a replacement.. it’s a plastic band!!!

We ended up booking into the Iberostar a few hundred yards away. There’s so much more to report like ant infested room, plaster peeling off the ceiling but I’d be here all day.. give this place a swerve.. wish I would’ve researched more on its actual rating and not the one ‘Love Holidays’ gave it.
