The reception was indescribably bad, with long waits. The food was terrible, the general cleanliness was poor and untidy, the public toilets were dirty and disgusting, the general cleanliness of the place was poor, the animation was boring and amateurish, and unfortunately it was also incredibly crowded. The room was filthy with bugs. The staff is a bunch of jerks and condescending people. They had to spend whole days helping with the bugs.
The restaurant is terrible, the tables are not cleaned, you sit in the same mess that the previous one left there. Not a hotel for Europeans. For locals! Avoid this hotel
Horrrroooor Dont travelling to this Hotel Pls The Food Is disgusting we was travel with family's childs for 12 days and we was have to Buy everyday Food . The beach Restaurant Pizza Its Free They Dont served you without Give them Money to the Hands .

Excellent hotel providing outstanding service, warm hospitality, and a truly memorable and delightful stay experience.
It was pleasant to stay.
Excellent hotel location is amazing, many activities. The staff is especially professional and humane. Pools are great. Good drinks, music and good vibes.

If you really want to rest your soul and body and return to your real life healthier and happier, this is the hotel for you and your family. From reception to rooms and restaurants, beach cafes, animators, and housekeepers, these are the people who truly die for your pleasant vacation. They make up for all the little things that aren't quite the best. I have traveled almost all over the world, but in recent years I have found my oasis of peace here.

We reached the hotel, we waited an hour for our room check in, the staff were very polite and friendly. We had a good sea view, the room was very spacious, with a safe, plenty of hangers and storage space and a fridge.
The hotel itself needs updating and the carpets need to be replaced,
The dining area was over crowded for the first four days so we didn’t get to enjoy our food or the experience at the hotel. on day 5 we got to enjoy our food and had it freshly warm not like the previous few days where people had to wait for plates and the queuing system was non existence we had to wait for a table some days.
The beach was nice and clean with lovely white sand and so relaxing.
Where to begin…
It’s quite hard to try and convey what this hotel was like, but to my fellow brits I’d say it’s a cross between the Solana from the TV show Benidorm and the hotel the lads stayed at in the Inbetweeners movie.
The rooms are about 25 years old, absolutely knackered. Upon arrival I found a number of items missing from the room description, the safe, minibar, one of my blackout curtains and no towels.
When we complained it was obvious the reception staff and had heard all this before. But, I was duly issued towels and a rusty minibar that was dirtier than your fridge at work.
The whole hotel site was very run down, paint peeling everywhere, broken sun loungers and stained carpets.
Dining was a battle, even in the ‘quite’ season the buffet is rammed. The hotel attracts a lot of ‘local’ guests from neighbouring Algeria, mainly groups of young men. Let’s say they don’t queue quite the same as we do, and they pile up their plates. Food often runs out, not that it’s a great loss. The food is bland, repetitive and 75% fish.
The main bar was also interesting. The drinks selection was very limited, and the bar often busy. The staff were pleasant in the morning but 12 hours into their shift the frustration showed. They often ran out of glasses and quite often told you to go off and find some of your own.
The hotel location was reasonable, the beach was lovely and as a ‘top tip’ the beach bar (only served larger so not really a bar) did pizzas at lunchtime which are slightly more edible than the main dining room offering.
The entertainment team were decent guys, the evening shows were okay and the drinks would begrudgingly flow from the bar until 11ish.
There seems to be about 15-20 brits at a time in the hotel. 65 % of the guests seem to be the Algerian lads I mentioned earlier. This naturally leads to the Brits forming a small group, which is important.
One of the most disconcerting things about our stay was the lack of the respect other guests showed to the women. You all have to stick together and keep an eye out, I’ve seen women and girls be followed the bathrooms, accosted by the pools and generally been made to feel unsafe.
It’s an absolute dive, although we did meet some decent people, and I had a laugh, making the best of a bad situation.
On arrival we were told our room was not ready and to get a drink and something to eat. Come back in an hour. Just like that!!
We did as we were told. As we were very tired we went into the bar area and my husband asked for vodka and coke and gin and tonic. He was given 'vodka and coke' for both of us, if you could call it that. Tasteless. (A sign of things to come). We went into the restaurant. Could not find very much to eat and returned to the reception desk as requested. We were told to come back in half an hour. No apologies nothing.
We returned again and were then given a form to complete, pay the tourist tax and given our room key. I explained I had paid for a sea view. The receptionist with a wave of her hand told me to 'come back tomorrow if I don't like the room'.
It was now nearly 3pm and we had been at the hotel since 11:40am.
The sea view was a glimpse of the sea between numerous palm trees. Too tired to complain as we were only there for 6 nights we unpacked. Most of our clothes we draped over a chair as only 5 hangers.
The room was so worn, carpets stained bathroom worn; No towels. We both had to shower and use our beach towel. So then we had to try to locate towels.
So the ongoing battle was looking for towels and toilet rolls. On one occasion when we did get the towels we came back to our room to find they had been taken and none left in their place. My husband managed to locate a member of housekeeping who insisted on looking in our room as he did not believe we had no towels!!!!
Food: Breakfast, okay if you had either fried eggs or an omelette. Toast, margarine, croissants, jam, cereal. Very rare to find a cup and often had coffee in a paper cup along with juice, as no glasses for the juice. Crepes with sauces and toppings etc. Good.
Lunch: Every day the same. Rice or couscous. Some sort of brown meat in an oily juice. Potatoes, sliced with skins on and boiled. Carrots and salad. Pizza. Everything tasteless.
Evening meal: As above with quatered chicken breasts on the bone, on one occasion. Oh and fish. Fish on the grill every evening. As for the wine, I would not put it on my chips.
Plenty of bread rolls thank god. Soup was ???????.
Alcohol: There wasn't any. Lager - must of been zero. Spirits - don't bother. A lot of guests had clearly bought their own.
No glasses. Often given coke and ice in paper cups half the size of a normal one, as we had no option other than to purchase our own alcohol.
Hotel grounds dirty.
After speaking to another guest we were told there was a Hard Rock Cafe nearby. Lovely food in there.
Unfortunately it would be very wrong of us to recommend this hotel to anyone. Please do not take your children as nothing to eat. Snacks consisted of a covered platter in the bar area around 4pm each day. This was slices of cake and croissants with nothing to put on them.
Poorest quality hotel we have ever stayed in.
Staff: Tip the staff if you want any sort of service. Period.
This hotel should be advertised as available. The pictures on the advert are very misleading and must of been taken when the hotel opened 40 years ago. We usually overlook bad reviews and make our own judgement.
We should of taken note.
My stay at Hotel El Mouradi Port El Kantaoui was disappointing. The food quality was poor with very few options, and the restaurant was overcrowded with dirty table linens. Drinks were also of low quality. Our room carpet was heavily stained, and the bathroom was not properly cleaned, with hair and dirt visible on the floor and mirror. Overall, the hotel needs serious improvements in cleanliness and service quality
The Hotel...Very... very dated with sub standard facilities, extremely limited WIFI access only available in the lobby area and its poor at that, no mini fridge in room, toilet had a leaky ubend, repaired.. twice, shower worked more like a tap and needed to be fixed as lever to swap from main tap for bath to shower kept dropping, cracked tiles and stained carpet, although everything was functional it was below par for what you expect based on Love Holidays write up.. someone seriously needs to go back there and reconsider what is written!!!.
Daily housekeeping and bedding was clean, bed was comfortable for me and air con worked fine, there was easy access to decent sized furnished balcony.
Staff... bar staff need to be told what a smile is, for a customer facing role they have little clue. Reception staff were on the blunt side, housekeeping were lovely, polite and friendly always saying good morning or hello and restaurant staff were the same even though they were always very busy.
The food.... all can say is we didn't starve and weren't ill... it seems to cater for more local tastes and often you didn't really know what you were eating exactly, fish, white meat or red meat, nothing specific stated. Pretty much same food every day. Was a relief to know Hard Rock Cafe was a few minutes walk and not expensive (compared to it here). Think converted to around £15 for main
meal and pint.
Outside areas of the hotel... plenty of space around the pool with more than enough sun loungers and mattresses, parasols were available to. The pools were OK, clean and there was pool staff about. The beach had lovely white sand and sea was warm, no nasty smells about, access to it is great, just past the second pool with a bar.. however very limited drinks etc. Not sure on food there as never went there at lunch time or anything.
Entertainment.. well, pretty crap.. couple of things around the pool but seemed to involve more locals than holiday makers from further afield, in the evening, lip syncing, few games.. targeted at the younger people both male amd female, bit of belly dancing and bloke balancing pots on a tray on his head.
Taxis at top of hotel drive and relatively cheap, Marina not far away where there are plenty of souvenir shops and cafes/restaurants to grab a coffee, beer or bit of food
All in all, I would not recommend this hotel and would not return, whoever gives it its rating should be ashamed of themselves and must have very low expectations and standards.
This place was built 40 years ago and has never been touched since,
Food is disgusting and cold, you don't know what you are eating no labels.
Same food every day.
It's like a cattle market all pushing and shoving.
Pool area ant's paradise, no rubbish bins.
Booked with love holidays ment to be 4 star lol food what is here very poor picture of cow was liver nothing saying what the food was we are eating out also no all day buffet no ice cream for kids the good drinks you have to pay extra says gym and sauna once again if you pay for them the staff are helpfull if you tip them if not they walk past you spoken to a few people as this company have a row here of different hotels and there all eating out and rooms dirty and said same love holidays don’t care taken your money then hear nothing when they want a different hotel avoid at all cost work to pay for this I would rather be home at work
I'm genuinely still in shock. This hotel is an absolute disgrace and should be shut down. The rooms are filthy, stained bedding, broken furniture, and infestations of ants, and that's if you're lucky enough to get the room you actually booked. The food is revolting and often unavailable, forcing guests to spend hundreds eating elsewhere. Staff are rude, unhelpful, and only respond if you tip, and serious safety issues are ignored — including harassment, racial abuse, and even strangers approaching children. The entire place is chaotic, unhygienic, and completely mismanaged. Do not believe the photos or the rating — this is not a holiday, it’s a nightmare. Avoid at all costs.
First and last time in this hotel. Receptionist so unprofessional and not welcome at all. We got room in so bad condition, dirty, and without air condition when we asked to change room he told us if we dont like it always i can change hotels . They was so rude.
This hotel is very dated and most definitely needs a lot of tlc.
First the Good points... Good spaceous outdoor area with 2 pools, 2 kids pools, plenty of sun loungers and space, large outdoor seating area, beach bar directly on the beach serving pizza, salad etc at lunchtime (no spirits at this bar), good wide long beach with white sand and clear sea. Staff all friendly especially the older of the 2 ladies who work in the restaurant, she was so nice.
Bad points....dated hotel, ,dates rooms not of a high standard at all. Infact quite drab with carpet! WiFi only available in reception and the signal wasn't good most of the time. No other WiFi available to purchase. Restaurant was old, food serving area all too close together causing congestion with people all the time and quite stressful. Fish served every single day on the griddle and the queues from the masses of Algerians was unbelievable. Always another couple of options in the hot food area when you finally got to it after queueing. Always salads, pasta, some type of potato, soups and bread available so you won't starve. We found a kebab shop 5 min walk away which was very cheap and lovely!
Pools are large but they both get very deep very quickly so the shallow end on both pools is small. Beach bar, lovely staff but it needs a good clean.
Not much in the area as all these beachfront hotels back onto a main road with a few random shops spread about here and there so you would need to go to the marina for a few more little cafes and few more gift shops....no bars around anywhere (just hard rock cafe but wasn't interested in paying their prices).
Also the safe-deposit boxes are in reception and you need a 2nd key to open it but they won't give you it before 8am... didn't bother us but your buggered if you needed to be in you safe before 8am. Entertainment team only bothered with the young lads and didn't do any water polo, mini disco etc as advertised. Never had any of them even say hello to us in the while time we were there.
Would I return to this hotel ...no. Far too many Algerians here, mostly groups and they have zero manners. Push into queues in the restaurant and bar without a care, push past and don't listen to even the lifeguard. Also it's sold as 4 star but I would put it at a very low 3 . If your looking for a nice relaxing beach holiday with not much time spent outside the complex then get a beachfront hotel in the Port el Kantoui/Sousse area as all the hotels are so spaceous and the beach is beautiful but do your research beforehand and take note of the reviews. I would probably return but to a better hotel if I were wanting to relax.
Saved all year going holidays from hell dogs were better off in kennels wants closing down A,C bad got bad chest pizza and flyes landing on it all I eaten for 10 days trauma disgusting want full refund LV holidays wasn't bothered
I read reviews and thought, it cant be that bad !!!!! It was.
We left 3 days early, would have been earlier than that had there been a flight available.
Other guests, rude and ignorant beyond belief. Never been pushed and shoved to get out of the way before, all male. Feeding time was horrendous, had to join the scrum to get a plate, then try to get food in yet another scrum like event. Animals
Restaurant place mats on the tables, disgusting.
The complex is tired, dirty. Rooms also tired and dirty.
We stayed in this hotel for 10 nights. We were a bit worried after read some reviews before we went, but it wasn't too bad. Of course some reviews were true, such as rooms were very dated and really needed a good improve. I sent an email a week before we went to request a room close the main area or main lift as my husband got poor mobility, no reply from hotel and we got the room far far away from the main area. In fact when we were waiting our room ready, we have noticed some young people got rooms very near the main area. On the second date we changed our room slightly nearer to the main area after we made a complaint to the reception. Cleaners definitely need good training and attention, rooms were not cleaned properly, they used brush instead hoover to clean carpet, left ground floor balcony door open ect. Pros, dining room staff were so friendly, specially thank to Ali, he made our stay were so happy, he always got our table ready and he also decorated table on our last day. It is our first time to Tunisia and we have booked their sister hotel next door, we will see whether we will come back or not.
I regret to share that my experience with the reception staff was less than satisfactory. Upon my arrival, the room allocated to me was not clean and lacked the balcony I had requested. Despite my inquiries, the staff was unable to accommodate a room change for several days. While the housekeeping staff was amiable, the late-night entertainment, which extended until midnight, proved unsuitable for a family setting. Guests were consuming alcohol late into the night and exhibiting aggressive behavior, even towards children. Furthermore, the same menu was served daily. I would not recommend this hotel and would not choose to stay there again. The entertainment seemed to cater primarily to those who consume alcohol, and their actions were often perceived as acceptable. Finally, my room had a nail used as a door stopper, the shower tray was in a poor condition, and the toilet tank was chipped.
I do not recommend this hotel because it cannot cope with the flow of customers because 200 people (Algerians checked out and 400 people wanted to check in, the reception was total chaos, I was there between September 22-29, 2025 and it was a nightmare vacation because I received a bungalow type room in which there were only beds with mattresses, there was no refrigerator, old air conditioning that did not work, broken TV, I changed rooms and waited for the maid to come to clean the room against tips of course. It rained in the evening and our room was flooded and water flowed from the ceiling for 2 days and next to the bed we had a puddle of water. The beach and the sea were ok but on the beach a lot of dirt and the mattresses for the sunbeds are paid daily 2 dinars, but they were insufficient and the sunbeds were also insufficient, they had 100 mattresses for 900 people who were accommodated in the hotel, words said by the boy at The beach was already a business, with tips the problem was solved, the beach bar and the pool were ok, local spirits but consumable. The main restaurant was large in area but could not cope with the flow of customers who came to the table, you have to fight to manage to put food on your plate and the manager was sitting and looking at us, it was all a fight for food, I made a complaint and I received food in the evening at the a la carte restaurant but there you only get one dish that they decide and a salad, you do not get cake but old fruit. At noon we had dinner at the hotel restaurant on the beach but there you also only get a salad and a pizza, pasta, fish, mcnuggets with rice, no dessert. In the evening there was a good show but it ended with a fight between Algerians and Europeans, this before my eyes and the security did not intervene until too late. At the pool the water was dirty and full of Algerian boys who were screaming all the time. At night you can't rest because of them. The toilets at the reception, the pool and the beach are very dirty and without soap or toilet paper for the 7 days I was
