Good location. Bad customer service. I will never stay there again.

The staff is un-organized during our 5-day stay our room was cleaned once after putting the sign on door and asking front desk to clean. When we took the issue to the manager instead of apologizing he pulled out a spreadsheet to go over cleaning. Very unprofessional.

I feel a little bit scammed because I booked a reservation for three people that clearly included breakfast, but I was still asked to pay again for breakfast for one of the guests. This doesn't match what was stated in my reservation.

Amazing place to visit and stay.

For my first visit to Voco Surfside Aruba we like to THANK YOU for making our stay a relaxable one.
As soon as we checked in, we were recognize as an IHG member. The agent and the MOD Lysa Vreeswijk were there with a smiling face and a warm welcome greeting. Thank you ladies.
The staff of Nook and the bar as well. Thank you Luis, Jorge, all the ladies during breakfast, Yuru and the rest THANK YOU so much. Its because of you, we will be back.
The housekeeping department did a good job in keeping the room neat and clean, Thank you ladies.
Night auditor: a friendly lady, always with a smile, greets me every morning when I bring my son to work.
Overall experience: Good job all, you exceed our expections. We will looking forward for my next stay.

Best hotel I've been to in Aruba
Pros:

This is my second time staying in this hotel and this visit was even better than the last. The service was amazing, the amenities look incredible (specially the pool ans bar), rooms are spacious and clean, and the location is ideal. Also having the beach so close made it so that we had everything we needed close by.

New Favorite Hotel in Aruba
Pros:

voco Surfside Aruba was a deligtful experience. The hotel is newly renovated and the attention was amazing. I have been going to Aruba for the past 20 years with family and friends and had not found a more homey hotel. It is just across the street from the beach and even if you don't want to goo that far the pool was amazing. I loved the breakfast offering and the drinks by the pool bar. The rooms were very comfortable and clean.

Months chasing basic support and documentation
Pros:

I have been an IHG member for many years and this was by far one of the most frustrating experiences I have had with a hotel.

The issue was not simply the reservation structure, but the way the situation was handled. Due to two consecutive reservations arranged by my agency, my room key expired and I was unable to access my room late in the evening while my belongings and medication were inside.

What disappointed me most was the complete lack of proactive communication and guest care. The hotel had my phone number and email, collected again at check-in, yet nobody contacted me at any stage.

It then took months of emails, follow-ups, LinkedIn messages and escalation through IHG channels before I finally received proper responses and documentation.

Management repeatedly focused on procedures and policies instead of acknowledging the actual guest experience and the stress caused.

The property itself is decent, but the handling of customer issues and communication was extremely disappointing and not what I would expect from an IHG-branded hotel.
