Nice for a quick stay

Not a five star standard.
Pros:

Some staff members were nice and really helpful and the cleanliness of the hotel itself.

Cons:

I stayed at the Hilton in Alexandria recently and while the hotel was okay, it did not fully meet my expectations for a 5-star property.

I am a regular Hilton guest and usually choose Hilton hotels during my holidays because of the consistent level of service. Unfortunately, this stay did not reflect that standard.

The check-in process was unnecessarily long. I say this based on direct comparison, as I had just come from the Jabal Omar DoubleTree by Hilton in Makkah, where the process was smooth and efficient without any delays.

The room itself was fine, however the key card repeatedly did not work throughout most of my stay. At check-in, I was told this would only be an issue for the first day, but it continued until the day before I checked out.

Because of this, every time I returned to the hotel, I had to wait for a member of housekeeping or staff to accompany me to my floor, as the lift requires an active room card (which I understand is standard policy). I then also needed someone to open my room door for me, as I could not access my room independently. This meant being effectively locked out of my own room, with my belongings inside, whenever I went out. While I was reasonable about this on the first day, it became increasingly frustrating as it continued for most of my stay.

I raised this issue multiple times at the front desk and was told that security would come to the room to fix it, but no one did. Eventually, a receptionist resolved it on the last day, by which point it no longer made much difference.

Additionally, every time I exited and re-entered the hotel, I was required to go through metal detection and full bag screening. While I understand the need for security, this became quite frustrating over several days as a guest staying on the property, rather than a one-time visitor.

At certain points, I also felt that I may have been treated differently, which was disappointing, as all guests should feel equally welcomed and respected.

فندق بعيد عن مركز المدينة وفخامتة قديمه نوع ما

و وجود موقع الفندق قريب من احياء عشوائية
عدم وجود ادوات شخصية ك ادوات الحلاقة والمناشف استعمال واحد وشاشة التلفاز قديمة جدا
