Important information:

Please note that the Old Town is a pedestrianized area. Guests can drive to the hotel for unloading luggage. Access is only possible via Bergstraße. The reception provides reduced tickets for the Linzergasse public parking garage (at Glockengasse 4a).

Arrival and departure is possible from Monday to Saturday from 06:00 to 11:00. From 11:00 onwards and on Sundays and public holidays guests require a code which is available upon request via the telephone. Guests can call Altstadt Hotel Stadtkrug free of charge from the bollard by the property.

When traveling with pets, please note that an extra charge of 10 per pet, per night applies.
A deposit may be required at the property.

This is a fabulous old hotel. So much history and charm.
Pros:

Great old town location. Walkable to most every part of city. Love the neighborhood. Staff very helpful.

Die Lage des Hotels ist top und auch das Frühstück war gut.
Ich war für eine Nacht auf Dienstreise im Hotel. Leider hatte ich mit dem Zimmer (Nr. 108) Pech – dieses ist nicht empfehlenswert. Es lag zum Innenhof, wo sich offenbar Klimaanlagen bzw. technische Aggregate befinden. Obwohl das Fenster geschlossen war, war die ganze Nacht über ein deutliches Surren und Brummen zu hören, sodass ich kaum schlafen konnte.

Cons:

Hoher Lärmpegel im Zimmer durch dauerhaftes Surren/Brummen technischer Anlagen (trotz geschlossenem Fenster).

Pros:

Ich empfehle das Hotel zu 100% weiter. Es ist außergewöhnlich und einzigartig. Ich selbst liebe Häuser und Möbel mit Geschichte und Charakter. Die Lage, der Komfort, die Sauberkeit, die antike Einrichtung und doch modern integriertes Badezimmer und das gesamte Personal sind wirklich top.
Ich komme super gerne wieder.

Cons:

Es wird eine Reparatur an der Dachrinne geben, an der es in meiner letzten Nacht tropfte durch den Regen. Aber das war halt höhere Gewalt und an der Rezeption wurde es mir bestätigt, dass die Reparatur in Auftrag gegeben wurde.

Little gem in the heart of Salzburg
Pros:

The hotel is very well situated between the main train station and the heart of the old town, but in a quiet side street. Wheeling luggage from the station is relatively easy and walking everywhere from the hotel is easy to manage. The hotel is very charming with lots of character and the staff are very welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom well designed. I would definitely come back here again when next in Salzburg.

Cons:

There is a lift which services all floors but there are still steps on each level which travellers with mobility issues might find challenging.

Alstadt hotel old and very nice.
Pros:

Good digs, good staff. Breakfast very good. Location very good in the old quarter. Close walk to most things, recommend the duck tour and hop on hop off to orientate self.

Not much.

Guter Aufenthalt waren zufrieden mit einem Restaurant sehr gut kann man nur weiterempfehlen bis auf die Betten
Pros:

Sehr gute Lage in der Altstadt auch vom Parkhaus gut zu erreichen

Cons:

An den Betten und Matratzen ist noch Luft nach oben hab Rückenschmerzen gehabt sehr weich und durchgelesen
