This was ond of my favorite places to visit. The hotel, the city of Salzburg is beautiful.
Pros:

Excellent Hotel located a few steps from Allstadt. I booked a superior room and was upgraded to a suite and it was super nice. I really loved this hotel. Very charming with friendly staff. The breakfast is delicious.

My stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel Altstadt had some positive aspects, but overall I do not feel it offers value for the price paid.

I would like to especially highlight Albert, the General Manager, who was consistently respectful, attentive, and genuinely willing to help resolve the issues we encountered. He responded promptly, offered personal assistance, and showed thoughtful gestures throughout our stay. From a service standpoint, the human interaction was excellent.

Another clear highlight was the breakfast: very complete, high quality, and served in a beautiful setting overlooking the river. The breakfast service was also excellent. I would like to thank Jamel for his helpfulness.

The hotel’s location is also very convenient, right in the heart of the city, which makes it easy to reach the main attractions. That said, Salzburg is a relatively small city where most places are within walking distance, so while the location is a plus, it is not necessarily a decisive advantage.

Cons:

However, the overall hotel experience did not meet expectations. We experienced issues with the heating — the room remained quite cold even after following the provided instructions — and the Wi-Fi connection was unstable, with frequent interruptions that made it difficult to use.

Additionally, the condition of the room was not as expected: the flooring appeared quite worn, and one of the areas was dark and uncomfortable to fully enjoy. While I understand the constraints of a historic building, this should not significantly compromise guest comfort without clear compensation in other aspects.

In summary, while I truly appreciate the staff’s attention and professionalism, the hotel itself — in terms of infrastructure and comfort — does not justify its cost. There are likely better options in Salzburg offering a stronger value for money.

Ein schönes Hotel in super Lage, mit kleinen Abstrichen, trotzdem sehr zu empfehlen.
Pros:

In mitten der Altstadt gelegen, trotzdem gut gut an den ÖPNV angebunden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, dass Frühstücksbüffet bietet für jeden etwas und ist der perfekte Start in den Tag. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und groß, auch wenn dass Wohnzimmer der Suite 402 ein wenig dunkel war.

Cons:

Leider war das Restaurant nur zum Frühstück geöffnet, zwar war das Café durchgehend geöffnet, jedoch ist dies bezüglich der Einrichtung eher unterkühlt (ist natürlich Geschmacksache) und hat keinen so schönen Ausblick, wie das Restaurant mit Wintergarten.
