Location Exceeded Expectations!
Pros:

The location was incredible - we were blown away when we arrived by the view from the main building looking out at the gates and onto the lake with the beautiful mountains behind. If you are a Sound of Music fan this will definitely be memorable!
I also enjoyed being a little outside the city centre. We did the journey by bus, foot and taxi during our stay. Bus was super easy and free (reception send you a link to download a transport pass, which we were never asked to show).

Cons:

All the little niggles I had with the suite (we stayed in main castle) were ultimately forgiven as I was so delighted by the location and beauty of the property. However, a few easy fixes would have made the stay perfect:
- Complimentary bottled water that we could cool. A note informing us that the tap water was filtered through the Alpes was all very well, but this water came out of the tap warm at best - impossible to get a cold glass of water. I refused to buy the mineral water from the mini bar when I have paid £600 a night for the suite!! Such a basic thing to offer guests!
- No hair conditioner in the bathroom. I found this annoying. There was shampoo, body wash and body lotion but most of us long haired people cannot attempt a hair wash without conditioner!
The room was very hot with fans to cool as mentioned by other guest - not sure much can be done about this - I guess AC too difficult to install in this beautiful house.

Perfect location for sound of music fans and anyone else as it is simply breathtaking. Try and find the secret staircase

Lokalita úžasná, pokoj jednoduchý, ale čistý a zajímavě řešený. Nejlepší jsou snídaně... bílý ubrus na zámku-nádhera

Je to sice historická budova,ale určitě by si zasloužila trochu oprav 😉
