Overall, a well-located and convenient accommodation.
Pros:

The proximity to the city center, the view from the room, the kitchenette, and the parking directly in front of the door were definite advantages.

Cons:

The room temperature could not be adjusted, and it was excessively warm. The wall paint and some of the furniture would benefit from being refreshed.

Excellent stay at Hotel Haus Arenberg
Pros:

Clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful, we booked a different room but we were upgraded at no cost to a very nice 1 bedroom apartment after I sent a last minute request (we were 3 adults: mother, father and son). The mountain view was breathtaking, the breakfast was very good, the staff very professional. I strongly recommend it for a nice and comfortable stay close to the heart of Salzburg.

Cons:

Nothing. Everything was very good, close to exceptional. The only potential problem could be for someone with mobility issues that doesn't have a car, as the location is on a not very steep hill and there are about 15-20 minutes of walking to the old town. Not at all an issue for us, we really enjoyed it, as we love walking everywhere.

Pros:

Уютный частный отель на холме, недалеко расположенный от старого города, красивые виды с балкона. Хорошая уборка. Много кухонный принадлежностей. Большой номер.

Cons:

1) скудный завтрак
2) просто обставленный номер "люкс" и обогреватели напольные не греют (может это и не обогреватели вовсе?)
3) это частный отель. Так что обслуживания номеров и сервиса 24/7 не ждите. После 9 вечера, в выходные дни - никого на ресепшн не будет.
У меня было важное мероприятие, вечер танго. Когда я попросил в 9 вечера утюг погладить рубашку и брюки, после долгих звонков в колокольчик на ресепшн ко мне вышел мужчина и раздражённо объяснил, что утюг будет доступен утром, что они не работают вечером и не обязаны и это я должен был предупредить заранее, что мне понадобится утюг. Когда я сказал, что "вы же гостиница, наверное кто то должен быть доступен в любое время решить проблему жильцов, тем более элементарно предоставить утюг" , мне грубо ответили "нет мы не должны". В итоге я пропустил мероприятие, не мог же я пойти в помятой одежде.
Возможно это норма для этой страны или норма для частных отелей. Я буду иметь это ввиду. В следующий раз выберу какой нибудь сетевой отель с сервисом 24/7. Для меня лично абсолютно неприемлемо то, что произошло.

Pros:

Der Eingang zur Duschen hat wie ein Kleiderkasten ausgesehen. Sehr süß.
Wasserkocher für Tee und Kaffee stand in beiden Zimmern. Sehr fein.
Wir haben wirklich sehr gut geschlafen, die Betten waren großzügig groß, besonders das Einzelbett war sehr breit.

Cons:

(Zumindest) die Duschköpfe gehörten entkalkt.
Das Licht und die Lüftung im Bad sollten getrennt geschalten werden können.

Pros:

The rooms were clean and had plenty of room for our family of 4.

Cons:

The location was pleasant, but it was a bit tricky to get into the old town and back – having to walk about 20 minutes downhill to get there (uphill to get back). Wouldn't be a problem for everyone, but we had kids in carriers/prams, which wasn't ideal.

The rooms were very well equipped. The breakfast buffet food was varied and plentiful with meats, cereals, cheeses, fruit, breads and yoghurt.

The distance was a little far to walk in the dark and cold of winter.
