I have been there by myself to have some time to rest and the resort was so extraordinary, especially the gym, and the coach Eya Romdhani, she made me feel like god did sent her to that place to help me through my workout sessions she’s so nice, professional and intelligent. I’m so sure that i will book with you again❤️
I highly recommend Movenpick resort in Sousse. The hotel staff very polite, kind and professional. The hotel is so big the food is delicious. My room was very very very clean and the staff Souhir and Chadia was very good professional and really helpful always keep my room extremely clean and smell very nice. The people who work at the hotel makes a very big difference. I highly recommend the hotel.
Movenpick is a 5* in looks, but thats where it ends. Bedding is hard and bobbly, from being washed to many times. Breakfast is quite limited, always running out of cups/saucers, given paper cups most mornings, not five star quality. staff not friendly, unless your non english. no cutlery set on tables, have to ask for everything. Evening meals slighty better. pool area is lovely, the waiter there is lovely. The beach outside the hotel is filthy, covered in broken pieces of plastic & broken pottery. foot wear needed.
I really enjoyed my experience at the gym, especially thanks to the amazing energy and effort from the coaches Shayma and Nourhene. They are both very professional, motivating, and supportive. Thank you for creating such a great and positive atmosphere!
Quite disappointed with this hotel. We went for an all inclusive 3 night break with friends, and would say it was OK at best.
Rooms - nice, clean, spacious, bath, with shower, not walk in shower. Comfy bed. Make sure you get a sea / pool view, one of us had a street facing room and had to move as it was so noisy.
Food - v average. Not a great choice, not many veg
Facilities - a lot shut as it was out of season, but the indoor pool was great and heated. Salt water. The jets and jacuzzi elements weren't working.
Service - this was the bit that most needs sorting. Some of the staff were excellent and very helpful - but there are WAY too many managers and not enough staff. We joked that they looked like UN or FIFA officials. All standing around doing very little, but ordering the workers about. Nowhere near enough staff serving, so you had to wait ages for drinks at the restaurant, and for them to clear the tables. The funniest was the guy in the round bar. One person serving - he was great, but one just standing around in a suit bossing him about, and looked like he was just spying on him TBH. He had to go and get him if you asked him for a drink. Utterly pointless and at one point he was even just poking his head through a crack in the door to keep an eye on things. Hilarious really.
At midnight we had water suddenly pouring from ceiling into middle of rm & it took 1.5 hrs for staff to physically come and move us to rm. 2nd rm A/C didn’t work & was over busy street instead of beach, with loud disco. TV eternally popped loudly on 1 min after turning off. 03 a.m were moved to ground rm by wall. When we plugged in the room’s coffee pot it sparked & popped, shutting down electricity Staff were beyond unhelpful, usually doing the opposite of what they said. Not like any Movenpick we have ever stayed at internationally.
Chokri is an excellent concierge. Ibrahim in the dining room is a wonderful waiter. In fact, all the staff in Movenpock Sousse are very friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious. I happily
recommend this hotel.
After a two year absence from Tunisia I grabbed the chance of a ten night break at the Movenpick Resort .
The outstanding features are the pool and beach (currently there is work in progress in the bar/kitchen and new terrace/restaurant) these works doesn’t affect the harmony. The Beach / Pool staff are attentive as ever.
I booked on a Bed & Breakfast basis. The breakfast options are vast and well organised. A special mention to my waiter Ibrahan who takes a personal interest in his customers needs.. considering the volume of customers he recognises and remembers your likes..
The lobby and restaurant are good although they serve a Tapas menu , which I tried twice, the food wasn’t up to scratch, although the staff are amazing in particular Hichem.
I ate in the La Villa a few times (when it was open - disappointed it wasn’t always open.
The food was tasteful and beautifully presented as are the the furnishings and of course the brilliant staff.
Pumo the Italian restaurant if my opinion was tasteless and completely overrated.
AGA Cafe is a great place I enjoyed for Tunisian tea, in the afternoon, again the staff are very attentive and personable.
My bedroom was a good size with a side view was immaculate, cleaned daily and lovely touch refresh flowers.
The hotel has numerous amounts of security staff outside the building and on the beach these are all great guys.
At Movenpick Resort and Spa - 20-28th February, 2026
We stayed ate the Movenpick Resort and Spa in Sousse for 8 days.
The weather was hit and miss and the first few days were cold.
The hotel is deemed as 5* but I would give it a rating of 4*
This hotel had mixed reviews but I believe that it was because we went at a less busy time, that we found the service to be good.
House keeping was very good. No complaints from us
The staff were fantastic and very welcoming
There was a variety of food and special arrangements were made for guests who were fasting including my husband.
The food was wonderful always plenty to eat. A big thank you to Tarek Rezig who looked after me and made me feel so welcome. Keep smiling Tarek you are doing an amazing job.
Thank you for the beautiful cake, as we were celebrating our anniversary.
The downsides are:- do not go to Tunisia in the month of Ramadan. The reason for this is that the majority of shops and touristic attractions are closed for the holy month. Check before you book your flight.
Make sure you agree the price with taxi driver, before getting in the car. A few tried to rip us off but luckily my husband speaks Arabic.
If you can give a little tip to the staff, it would go a long way.
We would stay at the Movenpick again and would highly recommend it.
Stayed in7080 very clean and relaxing week.food was good plenty of choice
Very helpful staff at all levels.
Will be coming back in September for 2weeks thank you for a brilliant stay.
This was the worst experience of my life. I always stay at this hotel chain in Tunis, but my first stay in Sousse was a complete disappointment. There was absolutely nothing I liked about this hotel. I can assure you that I will never return
Hotel is perfectly located. Mattresses and pillows need an upgrade. However, Great hospitality with good service especially house keeping thanks to Karima!!
I had the privilege of staying at Movenpick resort with my sister ( January 2026)I cannot praise the staff enough . Staff from every department were attentive ,friendly ,polite and helpful. Absolutely delightful. The resort itself was mesmerising ..the interior the exterior is stunning . I enjoyed the food ,slightly disappointed with the limited desert they offer .
I highly recommend this resort and I plan to go back to this unforgettable place
Hotel on amazing location for the summer vacation. Ypu have a direct access to the outside pool area in the summer days from your room. Cosy beds, clean rooms.
Excellent stay at Mövenpick Hotel.
I would like to thank all the staff for their warm welcome, especially Lobna, the Guest Relations Manager. The team was extremely considerate and provided excellent care throughout my stay.
I also want to commend the hotel director for the way customer complaints are handled. A prompt investigation was opened, and the issue was managed very professionally.
The hotel is clean, the food is good, and the overall experience was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel’s service was exceptional - the staff were attentive, courteous, and genuinely friendly, making our stay enjoyable. The hotel itself was beautifully presented with lovely amenities. However, the dining experience was a letdown. The food lacked seasoning and variety; breakfast was particularly disappointing. Hopefully, you can revisit the menu to evaluate the overall experience. The hotel’s lobby area was beautifully designed and elegant, but unfortunately, the allowance of smoking within the lobby and bar areas detracted from the otherwise welcoming atmosphere. I was surprised to find that smoking was permitted indoors. This policy somewhat impacted my enjoyment of the area, it would have been a lovely space to relax if not for the smoke. The room was comfortable but showed signs of wear and could benefit from a refresh. Additionally, the lighting in the room was somewhat limited, making it difficult to get prepared for the day.
Rusheda (holiday 21/01/2026-26/01/2026, room 5052)
Absolutely beautiful hotel. Staff were very attentive and friendly. From start to finish they were all very welcoming, an absolute credit to the hotel. Unfortunately the large pools were closed due to maintenance but we were notified of this well in advance of our holiday which didn’t deter us. There was an indoor pool which we used and this was heated.
Can’t fault the food as there was a large range from chicken, beef, lamb and also fish.
Would definitely return to this hotel and Tunisia. People are very friendly. Well done to the staff at the Movenpick in Sousse
Disappointing Experience – Not Worth 5 Stars
I had a very disappointing stay at the Mövenpick Hotel. The reception staff were extremely rude and unprofessional, which is unacceptable for a hotel that claims to be 5-star.
The rooms were below standard, outdated, and poorly maintained. Overall cleanliness and comfort did not meet expectations at all. Honestly, I wouldn’t even rate this hotel as a 3-star property.
The food was also a major letdown. There were very limited options, and most of them were clearly aimed at children, with very little variety or quality for adults.
Additionally, for a hotel located in a Muslim country, it was surprising and disappointing that there were no proper prayer room facilities available in or near the reception area. This is a basic expectation and should be considered for guest comfort.
I had the most amazing time in this hotel and would def go back special thanks, very nicely equipped room and super clean, cleaning service , Ms Hanen did an amazing job, Cleaning service at night was also super good. Laundry was perfect.
The restaurant was big and extremely clean, the buffet was delicious and diverse.
Welcoming was professional. Thanks to Ms Lamia, executive housekeeper for her professionalism and nicety 👏
I truely enjoyed my stay at Mövenpick Sousse.
Briefly, the room was extriemely clean, spacious, and well equipped. The service was very good and the staff members were friendly and smiley. I was extremely happy because I had a great view from the balcony. The food was delicious as well.
I will definitely come back next year!
Special shout out to Karima from the house keeping team for being smiley, super friendly and professional every morning during my stay there.
