Mövenpick Resort & Marine Spa Sousse

I had the privilege of staying at Movenpick resort with my sister ( January 2026)I cannot praise the staff enough . Staff from every department were attentive ,friendly ,polite and helpful. Absolutely delightful. The resort itself was mesmerising ..the interior the exterior is stunning . I enjoyed the food ,slightly disappointed with the limited desert they offer .
I highly recommend this resort and I plan to go back to this unforgettable place

Hotel on amazing location for the summer vacation. Ypu have a direct access to the outside pool area in the summer days from your room. Cosy beds, clean rooms.

I would like to thank all the staff for their warm welcome, especially Lobna, the Guest Relations Manager. The team was extremely considerate and provided excellent care throughout my stay.

I also want to commend the hotel director for the way customer complaints are handled. A prompt investigation was opened, and the issue was managed very professionally.

The hotel is clean, the food is good, and the overall experience was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel’s service was exceptional - the staff were attentive, courteous, and genuinely friendly, making our stay enjoyable. The hotel itself was beautifully presented with lovely amenities. However, the dining experience was a letdown. The food lacked seasoning and variety; breakfast was particularly disappointing. Hopefully, you can revisit the menu to evaluate the overall experience. The hotel’s lobby area was beautifully designed and elegant, but unfortunately, the allowance of smoking within the lobby and bar areas detracted from the otherwise welcoming atmosphere. I was surprised to find that smoking was permitted indoors. This policy somewhat impacted my enjoyment of the area, it would have been a lovely space to relax if not for the smoke. The room was comfortable but showed signs of wear and could benefit from a refresh. Additionally, the lighting in the room was somewhat limited, making it difficult to get prepared for the day.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Staff were very attentive and friendly. From start to finish they were all very welcoming, an absolute credit to the hotel. Unfortunately the large pools were closed due to maintenance but we were notified of this well in advance of our holiday which didn’t deter us. There was an indoor pool which we used and this was heated.
Can’t fault the food as there was a large range from chicken, beef, lamb and also fish.
Would definitely return to this hotel and Tunisia. People are very friendly. Well done to the staff at the Movenpick in Sousse

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth 5 Stars
I had a very disappointing stay at the Mövenpick Hotel. The reception staff were extremely rude and unprofessional, which is unacceptable for a hotel that claims to be 5-star.
The rooms were below standard, outdated, and poorly maintained. Overall cleanliness and comfort did not meet expectations at all. Honestly, I wouldn’t even rate this hotel as a 3-star property.
The food was also a major letdown. There were very limited options, and most of them were clearly aimed at children, with very little variety or quality for adults.
Additionally, for a hotel located in a Muslim country, it was surprising and disappointing that there were no proper prayer room facilities available in or near the reception area. This is a basic expectation and should be considered for guest comfort.

I had the most amazing time in this hotel and would def go back special thanks, very nicely equipped room and super clean, cleaning service , Ms Hanen did an amazing job, Cleaning service at night was also super good. Laundry was perfect.

The restaurant was big and extremely clean, the buffet was delicious and diverse.

Welcoming was professional. Thanks to Ms Lamia, executive housekeeper for her professionalism and nicety 👏

I truely enjoyed my stay at Mövenpick Sousse.
Briefly, the room was extriemely clean, spacious, and well equipped. The service was very good and the staff members were friendly and smiley. I was extremely happy because I had a great view from the balcony. The food was delicious as well.
I will definitely come back next year!

Excellent stay at Mövenpick Sousse. Extremely Clean rooms, professional and welcoming staff especially the housekeeping team ( Laila). great food, and a beautiful sea/pool view. The service was smooth from check-in to check-out. Highly recommended for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

I would like to thank the whole team of Movenpick. We have spent an amazing weekend. Good staff, spacious room and very clean, bathroom well equipped and clean. Great lingerie and also clean. Great thanks to our roomkeeper Ihsen. Very helpful and lovable .Warming atmosphere. Great and delicious food. Restaurant Mosaïk very spacious and very clean. Also the pool is crystal clear. Honestly the hotel is really equipped and clean. I recommend it.

Room service was very good, the room was very clean and got what it needed towels and wash robe were always kept clean with new slippers too , Especially Feten who was very good, she went out of her way to give me everything I needed and was always very friendly.

The hotel itself is very nice, spacious, and beautifully maintained. The beach views are fantastic, and the location is excellent — close to everything you need while still feeling relaxing and comfortable.

First, Adel, the Chief Concierge, is absolutely exceptional. He is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always goes the extra mile to help with anything you may need. Whether arranging transport, offering local recommendations, or simply checking in to make sure everything was perfect, Adel handles everything with genuine warmth and professionalism. He really makes guests feel valued, and his service is world-class.

I also want to highlight Wafa from the spa. I tried the Power Stretch massage, and it was genuinely transformative. I have posture issues from years of desk work, and this treatment helped relieve so much tension and stiffness. Wafa is highly skilled, attentive, and knows exactly how to target problem areas. I left the spa feeling lighter, more aligned, and deeply relaxed.

Additionally, Faten from housekeeping was very kind and did an excellent job keeping the room clean and comfortable throughout my stay. Her attention to detail was much appreciated.

Overall, thanks to Adel, Wafa, and Faten — along with the hotel’s beautiful setting — my stay at the Movenpick Sousse was truly memorable. Highly recommended!

I’m writing this review just before I head home after the most wonderful 7 day holiday in Sousse. This hotel is absolutely beautiful and within walking distance for sight seeing and strolling along the Corniche (beach/prom) Médina etc. Staff have been wonderful, extremely helpful and friendly…especially Hadil in reception and Rabbi in the bar. To be fair all staff were superb but these two stood out. Our room 5056 had a beautiful view, was very comfortable and cleaned daily by our lovely cleaner. My first trip to Tunisia and I will definitely return. Thank you Movenpick for looking after us so well!

Upon our arrival, we had a few minor concerns, which Lobna (Guest Relations Manager) immediately understood and resolved in the best possible way. At the end of our stay, we had an honest conversation with her about our impressions of the hotel compared to other destinations we’ve visited. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care left a lasting impression on us. It’s clear that she truly loves her job and makes every effort to ensure guests feel valued. Thank you, Lobna, for making our stay unforgettable!

Unfortunately, our experience at the Mövenpick Sousse was far below expectations—especially considering the hotel’s reputation and price range.

The rooms are old, worn out, and clearly in need of renovation. Much of the furniture is falling apart, giving the impression of a hotel that has not been properly maintained. The bathroom is extremely poorly lit—there is barely enough light to apply makeup or for my husband to shave properly. Another major inconvenience is the lack of usable power outlets. The only outlet available is by the bed, far from any mirror, making it nearly impossible to use a hair straightener.

The bathtub cannot be used, as the plug does not seal and water drains out continuously.
The room heating does not work, which is a serious issue during the winter season.

On top of that, the TV in our room did not work for the entire two weeks of our stay, despite repeatedly informing the reception about it. The hair dryer kept overheating and shutting off, making it completely unreliable.

Sleeping at night was often difficult due to significant street noise. The biggest issue is the nightclub across the street, where parties go on until 5 AM. Even with closed windows, the noise made it nearly impossible to sleep on several nights.

The food and drink selection by the pool was very poor. Although the menu listed many options, only two juices were available during our whole stay, and the same applied to the cocktails. This is very far from the variety the hotel advertises.

The security checks at the entrance were also exhausting. Every time we returned to the hotel, we had to show our belongings and room card again, as the security staff apparently couldn’t remember guests who had been passing by them daily for two weeks. Instead of feeling safe, this constant repetition became irritating and unnecessary.

While the hotel has potential and a great location, the overall experience fell far below expectations. Without serious renovations, improved maintenance, and a more guest-friendly approach, it is difficult to recommend this hotel.

Be aware before booking

My recent stay at Mövenpick Sousse fell far below the standards expected from a hotel carrying a 5-star reputation. On the first day, I reported that both the bathroom fan and the TV in my room weren’t working. Seven days later, despite multiple reminders, neither issue was resolved. This isn’t a matter of bad luck — it reflects a breakdown in basic operational follow-through.

The more concerning problem is the service culture. I tip regularly when I’m carrying cash, usually 10–12 dinars, yet several staff behaved as though tipping was an obligation for even the smallest gesture. On occasions when I didn’t have cash on hand, I experienced open disrespect, including being insulted in Arabic under the assumption I wouldn’t understand. This goes beyond unprofessional. It exposes a serious lapse in training and customer care that damages the brand at its core.

The hotel visually presents itself as a 5-star property, but the service aligns more closely with a 2-star operation. I’ve stayed in far better 4-star hotels with stronger hospitality and far more consistent standards. The only positive note is a single female staff member at the front desk who maintained genuine professionalism throughout my stay.

Let me start by giving a huge shout out to Chadia! She has been a blessing, thank you so much Chadia for not only making sure my room was always super clean but she also went the extra mile and made my daughters personal blanket into different decoration on the bed too! She took the time to not only learn but remember my daughter’s name! Showed her so much love and care, I cannot thank her enough she’s been an absolute star.

I stayed in room 3125 beautiful room with a beautiful view of the resort and all 4 pools! My daughter and I love water &love to swim so it was perfect view to wake up to!

The resort is breathtaking and perfect for a chilled family get away!
Big shout out also to the ladies in the spa for being so wonderfully welcoming to my daughter and I!
