Prix de séjours trop cher pour rien
Is this is a 5* hotel? Very clearly no might scrape a 4...probably more realistically 3. (I know the grading system is more based on facilities). Let me expalin why
We don't usually go big on hotels. We usually stay in hostels or cheap privates and yet even we were underwhelmed with the service at times.
There are a lot of things advertised that no longer exists. The bar that is part of reception(Taupo?) and serves the outside terrace is tragically slow and the staff often abruot and even rude.
We arrived very late at night and weren't offered any sort of welcome drink/food. 5 star service?
No ice creams poolside(they were advertised) although with great effort Carmel(legend of a barmen) found us one when we asked.
The service around the pool especially from Carmel and Mehadi (recreation/lifeguard) was brilliant and probqbly saved our trip. The pool area is nice.
Service in restaurant was good for some people although staff very motivated by tips rather than just good service. We were treated well; you coukd tell others weren't. The food was also very good.
The new beach bar is wasted at night and the guy running the bar at night treated the barmen awfully in front of guests and table service was slow. The whole mood at the bar at night was weird. It should be lovely but life is sucked out of it. I did make a complaint about this and assume it was dealt with.
The concierge were very friendly and helpful.
One morning I tried to get bottled water for our day trip to El Jem and had to ask at three different places(breakfast hall, Tapuo bar and reception) before finding the cleaners myself, who had some.
The cleaners were very friendly but the rooms weren't particularly well cleaned. I think there are far too many rooms for the number of cleaners there. Again not 5 star.
The TV (not a major part of our holiday) didn't work until I asked for it to be fixed. It isn't a smart tv but has a box plugged. IPTv worked when engineer csme to fix but nothing else. 5 star? Just get Smart tvs! It is 2026.
The room in general is more like a basic chain hotel.
Chocolate hour is a nice idea however staffing it with more than one person would mean the poor woman didn't have to go and restock and have 7 people queuing waiting to be served.
We went to the spa on the last day. (Need to pay extra). That was a great experience and staff were very attementive .
Speaking to other guests, they felt the same and there was very little( or anything) for kids to do at night.
On the whole, we had to massively adjust expectations of the service for our holiday. If you are used to high end service, avoid. If you are paying more than you usually would, you won't get what you want here. If you want all inclusive and are happy to tip well, you will get decent service for parts of your stay but poor service at other times.
It is a shame because some staff were brilliant and the overall management of the hotel seems to be poor and communication isn't great.
The room is super clean unlike so many other hotel in Sousse . The room service Ms. Sihem is excellent helpful and very cheerful. I appreciate also the communication with the reception
It was an amazing experience, aya the receptionist was so helpful and so great. I would love to come back again
Checked in 11th August had early flight so room not ready till 3, waited until 4pm until the found a room that was cleaned, room was definitely rushed as still small traces of previous occupants visible.
Hotel was full and not visible sunbeds to sit on so we went to the beach chairs.
The hotel is big and you have to use different lifts at various locations to get to places.
The food here was dire, really poor, lacking flavour, options and allergies options
We at from poolside menu everyday but i do not come on holiday to eat pizza and chips, i am vegetarian and asked for the chicken on cesar salad to be removed not one day did this happen! Pool staff good and tipping goes along way they reserved beds with small tips.
We used the al la carte restaurant x2 (spanish)
No entertainment or activities in the hotel by 5pm you are bored bored bored, this is their biggest downfall, all in all I would not return to the hotel and i am very disappointed as i had high expectations and was let down by movenpick
I had an amazing stay and especially enjoyed my time at the gym. A huge thank you to the incredible gym team — Amine, Nour, and Shayma — who made the experience truly special. They were always friendly, attentive, professional, and made sure that every request was taken care of.
I felt very well looked after at all times and really appreciated the positive atmosphere, the motivation, and the excellent service. The whole team made me feel welcome and comfortable from the very beginning.
Thank you so much for making my stay even more enjoyable. I can definitely recommend the gym and its wonderful team and would be very happy to come back again!

I had a wonderful stay here with my family, all the staff treated us with respect and the rooms in particular were cleaned beautifully by Nasira. I would definitely come here again.
Beautiful view from room , our cleaner was Zeena always excellent, helpful and always smiling kept room really good for us.
Also waiters Yasine by the pool and Aziz in the restaurant, both were excellent too.
Do not come here if you are English or European, you will be immediately discriminated against. We were placed in this hotel after our flight home was cancelled through no fault of our own. Staff were extremely unwelcoming and could tell from the moment we tried to check in they did not want us there, not that we wanted to be there either!! But again we had no choice. In the restaurant you give your room number as you enter as our group was only half board, following this multiple times by different members of staff we were repeatedly asked for our room number while trying to eat our meal. It almost felt as though we were being treated as criminals. Everyone else was seated and the staff were attentive with them but god forbid you were anyone in our group of travellers who had their flight cancelled did not want to serve us at all. During the day at the pool staff put towels and other items on sunbeds and then when certain people come down they move the towels to make it look like they are freeing up the sunbeds for them, in exchange for money of course but they would happily watch me walk around for 10 minutes trying to find somewhere to sit. Being treated like second class citizens is not acceptable for anybody in a 5 star hotel and it’s rich that they can even brand it as that.
During my stay at Mövenpick, I had the pleasure of joining the Aqua Gym sessions with Coach Amine.
Amine is a highly professional, energetic, and passionate coach. He knows how to motivate everyone and creates a fun, positive, and friendly atmosphere throughout the session. The workouts are well organized, dynamic, and suitable for different fitness levels.
I really appreciated his enthusiasm, professionalism, and dedication to his work. Thank you, Coach Amine, for the great sessions and amazing energy! I highly recommend training with him during your stay at Mövenpick.
Thank you to the entire gym team for your support! A special thank you to Coach Shayma for her motivation and great advice. You guys are the best!
Le service client restauration bar ,plage et piscine nickel
Le service nettoyage chambre et la salle de bain a remettre un peu plus en état pour le prix et les 5 étoiles
We stayed at this hotel for 10 days as a family, and overall we'd give it 3 out of 5 stars.
The hotel itself is beautiful, and we really enjoyed the swimming pool and the beach/sea area. However, there were several issues that made our stay disappointing.
The biggest problem was the buffet service. Every single meal we had to wait 5–10 minutes just to be served water, even though the staff were around. We also constantly had to ask for knives and forks, and this happened throughout our entire stay.
Our room was another letdown. It looked very old and dirty, and our city-view room overlooked an area with a nightclub. Every night from around 11:30 pm until 4:00 am, the music was incredibly loud, making it difficult for our family to sleep.
The pool was also not as clean as expected. Our kids found dirty stones and other debris in the water, which wasn't acceptable.
Overall, it's an okay hotel with nice surroundings, but the poor service, noisy rooms, and cleanliness issues mean we wouldn't return.
