Hotel restaurant dress code : Daytime: Casual. As a courtesy, guests are requested to please wear a garment over their swimwear in the restaurants, reception and lobby. Evening: Casual Smart. Smart shorts and casual shoes are accepted; however, swimwear and beachwear are not allowed in the restaurants, bars, reception and lobby.
Trousers for the gentlemen are compulsory when dining at Nautic à la carte restaurant.
For all Honeymoon Clients ONLY : Please note, to benefit the ‘Honeymoon Gifts’. The travel dates must be 12 months to guests’ wedding date. A copy of the wedding certificate must be produced compulsory at time of check in at hotel.

service was average, women could wear a sleeve less top to dinner but men couldn't. buffet dinner was average at best. starting breakfast at a certain time then being told to wait for services such a cooking eggs was an inconvenience

The location, the views, the swimming pools, the beach, the food, the overall design, artistic attractions in the evening, aquagym, table tennis.
The presence of insects like cockroaches and little ants in the room. The buffet service (waiters) disoriented, confused with orders, not well organized, repeatedly forgetting the orders (especially of morning coffees) they have taken. The lack of cutlery, especially tea spoons in free distribution, the lack of mugs for coffee.
The big unpleasant surprise was the fact that the guest who has half board (breakfast and dinner included) is obliged to pay extra for a bottle of plain WATER or just any water at dinner time and initially also at breakfast buffet. The same disappointment refers to just one free bottle of water for a room for 2 guests for the whole stay of 8 nights. More bottles are available on additional fee, while it's a RESORT and SPA aimed at relaxation, healthy sport activities, in the TROPICAL CLIMATE where WATER INTAKE, the most important element of human intake and human built, IS MOST CRUCIAL and NEEDED. How to relax if you always have to think of buying or paying extra for the basic NECESSITY which is WATER while on half board...
Another nuisance are drops of liquid (probably water) falling from the grill on the room entry ceiling. The service person suggested that it might be because of the AC not being used ( we preferred to air the room by opening the balcony doors, which is both more ecological and healthy)
Finally, during one night, there was very loud music, loud vivid talking/laughing and cheering heard till late, long after 22:00h. We needed well inserted earplugs, which was even painful on waking up, to fall asleep.
One more thing, It would be really nice if the 'dancing evening/night' at the Bay Bar with live or DJ music was accompanied by real dancing. The guests were too shy to dance maybe because of the lack of encouragement. Only one evening, les animateurs did encourage and invite the present guests to dance, by dancing themselves and inviting others.
The standout aspect of this hotel is definitely the staff. Everyone was incredibly hardworking, attentive, and clearly putting in real effort to maintain the property. The buffet at the main restaurant was also a highlight. It offered good variety and quality meals.
Unfortunately, the overall experience did not justify the price. The rooms felt cheaply finished — from the parquet flooring to the PVC doors, which resembled something you’d expect in a public facility rather than a resort. The air conditioning was a major issue: when turned on, it blasted extremely cold air with no real ability to regulate temperature; when turned off, the room quickly became humid, with moisture building up on walls, floors, doors, and windows.
Another big downside was the lack of complimentary drinking water. Only one bottle was provided for the entire stay, and any additional water had to be purchased. Having to carry large bottles from a supermarket back to the room felt unreasonable given the price of the hotel.
The beach itself was clean, but the seawater lacked clarity and wasn’t particularly inviting. There also didn’t seem to be enough sunbeds for all guests.
Overall, despite the great staff and decent food, this was one of the weakest value-for-money experiences I’ve had across my travels. I would not recommend it at the price point.

La piscine très agréable, la plage n’est pas la plus belle mais nous sommes au calme.
L’équipe d’animation très sympa, les activités la journée aussi, ainsi que le petit spectacle du soir mais rien d’extraordinaire.
L’hôtel est suffisamment bien situé pour se déplacer à pied et pouvoir visiter la ville aux alentours.

Good location re Grand Baie facilities, beautiful grounds, comfortable room with nice outlook. The staff were very pleasant.
We had no choice but to book half board on the booking.com website. However, the dinner buffet was a big disappointment. The menu was uninteresting, the same night after night, and the food quite tasteless. We booked for a 5 night stay, but ate out of the hotel after 2 nights of their dinner.

Les gros lézards verts du jardin et qui se promènent sur les murs du restaurant vers la plage. J'ai la phobie de ces insectes et c'est un peu compliqué pour moi de les voir.
