Hotel Maloka Amazonas

Very nice clean and comfortable eco friendly hotel. Delicious breakfast and super sweet, helpful, and attentive owners.

Lugar tranquilo, ótima localização, atendimento excelente, Wi-Fi ótimo para a região. O local é o que costumamos chamar de hotel de selva, bem rústico, não tem água quente, não tem vidro nos quartos, são fechados por telas apenas, o que pode ser incômodos pelos insetos. A limpeza estava impecável, apesar dos bichinhos que não tem como impedir de entrar no quarto. Roupa de banho nova e limpa. A única coisa que não gostamos foi a cama de molas, bem desconfortável, mas estava com a roupa de cama limpa.

Really nice small hotel with a beautiful court yard filled with plants.

Beautiful quaint hotel, we had a nice big room, clean. Staff were very nice, we were given a welcome local fruit juice and breakfast was quite good. In Leticia you can't expect hot showers, so cold water it was. Wifi didn't reach our room, so we had to go out to find a signal.

My stay at Maloka Amazonas was absolutely fantastic. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and airy, with a beautiful garden and very friendly staff. The welcome is warm and professional, and Francisco in particular speaks quite good English. (I am learning Spanish, but still need to revert to English at least some of the time.) Breakfast is delicious, and Francisco and Paola are very knowledgeable about tours and things to do and see in and around Leticia. They were also very helpful and accommodating with meeting my individual needs and helping me to find just the right guide. I definitely plan on staying here again next time I visit Leticia.

Our stay at the Hotel Maloka Amazonas was a very pleasant one! The room was clean, neat and comfortable. We arrived at around 5pm and had time to walk around town for a little while before dinner. Leticia was a fun city! lots to see and do and all of it felt very safe and comfortable.
Francisco and his wife did their best to make us feel welcome and it was true what we had heard about her cooking. The meals she served us were charming and delicious!
When we left for our trip up the Amazon, I had forgotten my passport at the hotel. I was absolutely terrified! but for no reason! Francisco held it for me until we picked it up on our return to Leticia.
These people are truly the best! I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again or recommend their hotel to my friends!

A quaint accomodation away from the noise of the city. Friendly owners, Fransico speaks some English and patiently understands much.

Even though we weren't able to enjoy the establishment due to delays on our cruise arriving Leticia, Francisco and his staff were excellent, efficient and professional handling our unique situation.

Just a beautifully managed garden with a super friendly staff. It was my first time in Columbia, and I want to go back.

We were pleased to be greeted with warm hospitality and helpfulness. The rooms are modest but clean; being in the Amazon we were not looking for luxury. The hotel is charming with rooms around a courtyard where birds and monkeys visit. The hotel host accommodated our early schedule and provided a delicious breakfast. He also shared his books about the areas plants and birds. We enjoyed our first night in the Amazon.

What can I say except, Don Francisco and Dona Paola were fantastic at making our stay just wonderful. With all the great days out and comfortable nights in Leticia, it was a real pleasure to enjoy their hospitality and guidance.

Sure my family and I could have stayed in a higher star rated hotel in town but to be honest I am so glad we didn't, what we learned and discovered about the Amazonas and Leticia by listening to Francisco and Paola would not have been truly possible in a different hotel. A local hotel run by local people with true local knowledge.

In short Malokamazonas Hotel, a comfortable hotel at a great price managed and owned by two very great people. And after all it is people that make place. Can't wait to go back.

We originally intended to only stay a couple of nights here before moving further into the jungle and out of busy Leticia but the rooms were so comfortable, the jacuzzi so inviting and the service exceptional that we extended and decided to come back here on the way back through. Hosts Francisco and his lovely wife are so friendly and helpful and always ready to give advice or help you out with tourist activities and attractions. The rooms are cleaned daily and were mosquito free. Service exceptional, including a delicious breakfast with different local fruits each morning. Excellent amenities and the location is close to everything you can need - restaurants, shops, sights and more. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
