Galaxy Hotel

We spent about 5 nights here in mid October. The room was comfortable and large with a small balcony. Shower was great in size, water pressure, and spa heads. Bed was comfortable. For anyone with mobility issues, there were a lot of stairs to get anywhere, seemed like you were constantly walking up and down. Unlike most people, we thought breakfast was just OK. Many choices but a little repetitive and not hot enough. Area was nice with a beach just steps away and town also within a short distance, lots of choices of food and shopping. We thought any workers we came in contact with were very friendly and helpful.

Theproperty is very clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable with quality linens supplied, the bathroom was modern with plenty of strong hot water. The AC worked great.
We had a little balcony with a great view of the sunset over the pool and the ocean. There were two pools associated one had easy gradual access and even an area for kids. Unfortunately the pool water in early Oct was colder than the ocean water. People sat around the pools but no one was swimming.
There was a reduced rate to use the sunbeds in front of the hotel - $15 for two people
The breakfast was quite extensive and warm offerings were kept warm etc. This eatting area was shared with a neighboring resort but there were plenty of waiters and food and seating, so that it didn’t present a problem
One of the best reasons to consider this hotel is that you can walk into town and enjoy the highly rated restaurants with minimal effort
This means you can access shopping too
They had a very handy parking lot so it was easy renting a car , exploring the island and getting home.

We had a lovely stay at the Galaxy Hotel. A 4 star experience at a 3 star rated property. Lovely room with sea views, great breakfast with loads of choice, fluffy bathrobes, slippers!

This hotel was perfect! Perfectly located, clean and had a very friendly and kind staff. We loved everything about it and hope to visit again!

My favorite hotel of the 4 we stayed at during our 12 day Greece trip. The only downside was it was supposedly a "pool or ocean view" room but it was on first floor and the only view was people walking by on the way to the pool. Of the three rooms we had (all on first floor), only one could see the water and was private. The other two had people walking by constantly and no private balcony, just two chairs next to the walkway. The bathroom while tiny, had a fantastic shower with massage jets as well as rain shower and nice products. The hairdryer could have used an upgrade as ours was older and no cool setting. Included breakfast was also a winner of all the places we stayed with many choices for all tastes. The front desk folks were pleasant and helpful although the gentleman taking us to our rooms took us in a route we had to lug our bags ourselves down multiple steps. There is a small parking lot for a rental car and it is an easy walk into town and just steps from the beach. Sunbeds were available for 20 Euro when we were there for hotel guests. I would suggest a higher floor then first floor in the future if you wanted any real view and a more private balcony/sitting area outside.

What a fantastic find! Just on the outskirts to make the area quiet but walkable to all fine dining and shopping on the Island. The hotel has access to beach chairs and water making it all the better to just stay close and spend the day soaking up the sun. Will come back here again and highly recommend. Clean quiet rooms and great amenities.

Just returned home from another return visit to the Galaxy, such a wonderful place on an amazing isalnd, location, ambience, comfort are all one can wish for.
Do not like to single out staff as there are always many who work behind the scenes whose hard work makes everything run smoothly and do not interact with the guests, however special thanks to Maria, Panagiotis, Aris, the guys at the beach and our housekeeper, whose name I didn't get, who kept our room tip top every day, #133

The property was just tucked away from the town but close enough to walk to restaurants, shops and bakeries! The beach was just a 30 second walk from the pool. Great location and a lovey quiet little resort. We loved it! Breakfast was available next door but we preferred to walk to a small coffee shop that was 5 minutes away.

From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome. Maria gave us all the informtion we needed and escorted us to our room on the first floor with view to the pool and the sea. It was very clean with all amenities in place. Buffet breakfast was huge and it was served at the sister next door. Pools were beautiful with a lot of space around. Gardens were neat and beautiful. The staff was always very polite and helpful. The hotel is very close to the city. There was a charge on the sun beds but we had good service and we loved it. Definitely will come back.

My wife and I stayed at Galaxy Hotel expecting a proper resort, but what we got was an overpriced disappointment. The rooms are tiny for what you pay, and the “peak season” excuse for inflated prices is laughable when the place is half empty.

The service is abysmal. Drinks are served with missing ingredients (a mojito without mint!) and when questioned, the staff simply say, “this is how we make it.” Poolside service barely exists — you have to rely on pure luck to see a waiter. The bartender in the morning, Nefeli, was rude, unhelpful, often missing, and hardly spoke English, making communication exhausting.

The food is a mixed bag: lunch is tolerable, dinner uninspired, and the half board menu is the worst I’ve ever seen. Breakfast is fine, but don’t expect much more. Shockingly, tea, coffee, and even water aren’t replenished daily, and the Wi-Fi is painfully slow. Pool hours are restrictive (10–7 only), and we were stunned to be charged €15 each just to sit on the beach for half an hour — something we were never warned about. When we raised this with the manager, the dismissive response was insulting.

What makes matters worse is the management itself. I personally witnessed the General Manager shouting at housekeeping, calling them “maids” in the most degrading way. Absolutely unacceptable. The pool is always packed because staff keep sunbeds “reserved” for certain guests, so we only managed to sit there once in an entire week.

To be fair, the rooms were kept clean, and some staff members — Leroy, Tyler, and both Konstantinos — were professional and kind. But they are the exception in a place that otherwise feels hollow, poorly run, and shockingly mismanaged.

Galaxy Hotel is not a resort, it’s a scam. The General Manager sets the tone: rude, dismissive, and exploitative. This hotel should be ashamed to call itself 4-star.

El hotel está cerca de la playa y a poca distancia de restaurantes. El hotel es bonito, pero mi habitación era normal para el precio que pagamos, considerando que agosto es temporada alta en Grecia.

This hotel was great. We stayed as a family of 4 in a family room with one queen and one double bed. The beds were very comfortable and the room clean and spacious.
The beach is 2 minutes away, where the hotel has sunloungers available. The beach is incredibly safe for children.
Food and drinks can be delivered to the beach and the food menu good and very reasonably priced.
We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay here! Very convenient walk to the shops, restaurants and local sights! Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful as well.

My wife and I stayed at the Galaxy Hotel in Naxos last week with our two kids, 8 and 10 years old.

The hotel was in a very good location right near the beach but also very easily walkable into the main area of Chora with all its great restaurants and shops. The rooms are small, but nicely updated and very clean. The pool was very clean and inviting and not overly busy.

The hotel does not offer adjoining rooms, so I had asked that we have two rooms next to one another, however we were given rooms in separate buildings. Also the door bolt was broken on one of the rooms... The woman at the front desk said they would send someone to fix it but they never did.

The hotel shares a restaurant with the neighboring hotel, which was quite busy during breakfast but not a big issue. The provided breakfast buffet had many options, but I would say the food was just ok compared to other restaurants on the island.

Overall I would stay at this hotel again.
