Pangaia Seaside Hotel Adults Only

A fantastic boutique hotel at a beautiful location in front of an amazing golden sand beach with crystal clear waters. The hotel staff and services were fantastic, the room was spacious and beautiful. Breakfast spread was great and the hotel supplies beach towels and chairs. It is a 20 minute walk from town and 5 minutes walk from the next beautiful beach and then another 5 to the next one over.

“Good communication beforehand regarding the transfer from the ferry to the accommodation. Good information at check-in. Clean and tidy, very good breakfast with friendly staff. The only thing that kept it from getting a 5-star rating was the distance from the town. A bit far with a poor road and lack of street lighting. Otherwise, a great stay.”

The staff was incredible. Rooms were gorgeous, spacious. Loved the location. Close enough to walk to port for restaurants, also close enough to the most stunning beaches I’ve ever seen! The breakfast was amazing with gorgeous views! Highly recommend staying here!

Godevamo di un bellissimo scorcio sul mare che poteva essere ammirato anche comodamente dal divano del patio. I plus della struttura sono: 1. Il personale estremamente disponibile (ad. esempio abbiamo potuto fare la doccia anche dopo il check-out per godere appieno della giornata di mare) 2. la vicinanza alla spiaggia di Finikas e 3. I servizi (ottima colazione a buffet, sedute e ombrellone su richiesta, trasporto bagagli da e per il porto).

Stayed for 7 nights. Beautiful hotel in great location as 5 mins walk to the best beaches on the island. Well managed, friendly staff and a lot of thought given to the decor and facilities. Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Room good size and very clean. Excellent balcony area and useful kitchenette. Close to Finikas taverna which was very handy with friendly staff and basic, affordable home cooking choices overlooking the beach. Very relaxing in the evening.

Sun shades, beach chairs and beach towels available for all guests. Breakfast was outstanding, plenty of choice on the buffet and eggs freshly cooked to order. Seating area with great views and gentle breeze most days.

Close proximity to Fanos and Italida beach either by foot or water taxi. Good to have choice. Also nice 15 minute walk to port and main town.

Only minor criticisms were ;

- the bed and seating area in the room was very uncomfortable and designed for giants! I’m 5’5 and struggled to climb into the bed. Also the mattress was very hard for us.

- they asked us to put towels in basket if needed changing. However they just changed them each day so not so eco friendly. They also offered to change the beach towels every time we used them which isn’t necessary. Don’t get me wrong it’s great service but they say they’re eco friendly and this “over washing” isn’t great.

Despite these observations we hope to return. We had a wonderful peaceful, relaxing experience in a very beautiful place.

This was a well-deserved return visit, and this trip was as good as the first. The hotel is stylish, spacious and immaculate; service is impeccable; and the location, across the road from Finikas beach and a short stroll to the town or to other beaches is ideal. Breakfast was a highlight - inevitably for a small hotel, the variety of choices was restricted compared with a large city hotel, but the quality was excellent, with the fruit, yogurt and eggs cooked to order being a particular highlight. The hotel offers beach towels, parasols and portable chairs to beachgoers, which is a huge benefit, and showers are available after checkout for anyone leaving on a late ferry.

I originally booked this hotel because of the view, aesthetics and architecture of the hotel. What we didn’t expect was the 100/10 service from all staff, especially Anesti who tended to us every time we passed him. Johnny was incredible with all our food needs, even made me the best iced latte! Although, all staff were so beyond kind and helpful. Location is a 15 minute walk from “town” which we didn’t mind because we wanted a quiet location and we like to walk. The room was absolutely stunning, the decor & interior design with the sea view! The free breakfast buffet were just an added bonus. They also offer free umbrellas, towels and beach chairs for the beaches, we travel often but this place was beyond accommodating! If you’re looking for a tranquil, peaceful getaway from busier Greek Islands - I highly recommend this hotel in Koufonisi! We can’t wait to be back. Absolutely loved this place!

Just WOW this place is so luxuriously beautiful. From the reception to the guest washrooms to the rooms everything was so high end. I still can’t get over the doors and windows and the quality of the buildings. Katerina and the rest of the staff were always checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely. I could go on an on. Koufonisia is already heaven on earth but staying here just completes the dream. We miss you already!

Wonderful stay - clean, comfortable and quiet. Wonderful day bed on balcony, separate sitting area in room. Everything spotlessly clean with towels changed daily.

Views of the sea from everywhere.
About a 15 minute walk to the port, or take the water taxi. And courtesy transfers to and from the port were great.

Beyond my expectations, what a nice hotel, friendly staff and tasty breakfast

Hôtel bien situé entre centre ville et plages les plus proches. Tout peut se faire à pieds. Cependant des bateaux bus sont à disposition toute la journée. L’hôtel est très propre, assez neuf avec une ambiance grecque bien respectée.
Il faisait très chaud dans la suite (dernier étage) nécessitant d’utiliser la climatisation. Personnel très à l’écoute, aidant et professionnel.
Nous vous le recommandons.

We booked the elite studio suite and could enjoy a breath taking view from the balcony.
The room was decorated with great taste and the area was very quiet.
However the hot tub as mentioned in the description is rather a cold mini pool under the shadow most of the day, so we couldn’t really enjoy it.
I would love to go back but maybe not worth it to book the junior elite suite.

Amazing!

Vi bodde i hotellets bästa rum och det var vackert. Tyvärr blåste det enormt på altanen och inget vindskydd fanns att dra ner. Jacuzzin var kall och gick därför inte att använda. Ej heller fanns någon vattenkokare. Läget var fantastiskt och likaså restaurangen som nyttjades och dess personal. Städerskorna gjorde ett jättebra jobb.

Hugely overpriced for what it is and could be so much better! Staff are lovely but stand out issues for us were probably the most uncomfortable mattress ever and the fact that breakfast is served at a neighbouring taverna that is dark, gloomy and full of people smoking - a terrible experience.

However the suites are spacious and clean. Location is great next to a lovely beach and the views are to die for!

They just need to sort the beds and the breakfast experience and then it would be such a better experience although I doubt it will still be worth the 350 EUR per night price tag that we paid.

Friendly and welcoming staff, wonderful breakfast, great service. Rooms are big and modern with a lovely view of the sea from the spacious balcony. Not too far to walk to town (15mins) or the beaches to the east side of the island. There is also a great sandy beach 100m away from the room, in front of the beach bar, great for spending the day. Complimentary transfers to and from the port were very convenient.

Absolutely amazing stay. The views are fantastic, the Cycladic room design is on point, and the food at the Finikas' restaurant is similar to how my Greek grandmother would cook greek classic dishes.
