Hotel fairly priced for quality and service. Very good food and excellent staff. Very well maintained quaint building. In good area for tourists. Easy parking immediately outside.

Really nice and elegant hotel and room

We were unexpectedly upgraded to a suite with its own garden. The facilities and comfort were excellent. The hotel garden is beautiful and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast served beside the pool. This hotel is an oasis of calm, style and comfort, but most impressive were the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. They went out of their way to accommodate every need and were genuine and very friendly. They made our stay exceptional! Thank you.

Excellent reception by the very kind and friendly staff, great food, nice pool, well situated near the center.

A lovingly restored building centrally located. Parking in front (ask the front desk attendant for help). Stairs up to the front entrance - so if you have heavy luggage - be aware. Help may or may not be available. Our room was very nice, but not exactly as advertised. The website said it had a balcony and views of the city, however it had neither. I even asked if we were in the right room - they said we were. Our room was right by the front door, which was very noisy. I asked if we could be moved, but they said it wasn’t possible. The shower is very nice but there was no counter space in the bathroom to put any toiletries. There is a nice coffee machine, but only two capsules (and one decaf and no milk). What if both people want caffeinated coffee or some milk? The pool area is beautiful and also where there are tables if you want to order food (I wouldn’t call it a restaurant per se). We were the only ones having dinner on site. Breakfast was a la carte and very good. Overall, despite the small issues, it was a nice stay for the price we paid.

Amazing staff and food. Private oasis in the city

Die Reception ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das ist schon mal das Wichtigste. Es gibt höchstens kleine Vorbehalte in der Einrichtung, z. B. das Licht im Bad. Aus Design-Gründen wurde da über das Ziel hinausgeschossen, auf Kosten des Praktischen: es ist (wie in vielen Hotels) schwierig, sich zu rasieren…
Sonst ist eigentlich alles perfekt, inklusive Coffee Table Books. Das macht das Hotel aber auch ein bisschen clean und glatt. Etwas weniger Desinfektion würde die Atmosphäre entspannen.

Small boutique hotel. Rooms and property itself of a very high standard. Comfortable bed. High quality bedding and linen. Mini fridge, nespresso coffee machine. Spacious bathroom with quality fittings. Exceptional service. Very professional and helpful staff. Has a small but impressive court yard with a swimming pool. Nice breakfast and good all day restaurant menu. Very discreet and quiet place. Really loved it. Wanted to extend but unfortunately there wasn't an availability.

Wir haben eine Nacht in diesem außergewöhnlich schönem Haus verbracht. Tolle aufmerksame Mitarbeiter und ein individuelles Frühstück im traumhaft gelegenen Innenhof. Eine guter Standort um Patras zu erkunden. Ein Parkplatz war direkt vor der Tür für uns reserviert.

The Bold Type Hotel is a sympathetically renovated & converted old family house. The staff were very friendly & helpful. It had reserved on street parking spaces outside & a lovely garden.
It is conveniently located in the Old Town area of Patras a city in Greece which is not yet a tourist destination. However it was a good base for day trips to Delphi & Olympia.
