An absolutely wonderful stay. The room was a dream, beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable. Waking up every morning felt like being in paradise, with a stunning sea view both from our room and during breakfast. Everything was spotless, with impeccable housekeeping and great attention to detail throughout the property. The outdoor areas around the room were also beautiful, perfectly maintained and incredibly relaxing. What made the experience even more special was the staff: everyone was genuinely kind, welcoming and always ready to help with a smile. A truly exceptional place that exceeded our expectations, and one we would happily return to
Staff were all excellent
Het personeel en de accomodatie.
Alles was perfect.
Unglaublich tolle Unterkunft, sehr sauber und das freundlichste Personal überhaupt!
Nichts, alles tip top!
We loved every moment of our stay at Koia.
Every staff member we encountered, from the pool cleaner to the head chef, was warm, welcoming and genuinely service-oriented. After three weeks of travelling, this was one of the few places where we didn't simply feel like hotel guests. We felt seen, valued and cared for at every interaction.
The hotel itself is visually stunning. The architecture has been thoughtfully designed to frame the landscape, with beautiful views around every corner. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful, not only because it is adults-only, but because the team works so hard behind the scenes to make every experience seamless.
We stayed in a Sea View Pool Room (202), which was private, quiet and perfectly positioned. Waking up to sunrise views from bed each morning was a highlight.
The property is expansive, with buggy transfers available throughout the resort for guests who prefer not to walk. Communication was effortless via WhatsApp, whether we needed restaurant reservations, buggy transfers or even different pillows. Every request was handled quickly and graciously.
The food at Thyme Restaurant deserves special mention. We are passionate food lovers from Melbourne and the quality of the food was so exceptional that we ate there every day and every evening except one lunch when we ventured into town. The service was equally impressive. Staff remembered our names, greeted us warmly and made us feel completely at home.
The wellness focus and connection to Hippocratic philosophy gave the resort a unique sense of purpose. We particularly loved the cooking class with Chef Emmanuelle, which began with a tour of the on-site gardens before a hands-on lesson featuring local ingredients and techniques. The wine tasting with Marianne was another highlight, combining excellent local wines, generous food pairings and fascinating insights into the region.
The spa was wonderful. I had the most meticulous pedicure I've ever experienced. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout our stay, including nightly turndown gifts and a beautiful beach bag. One evening we received a tiny pot of jam and spoon, a traditional Greek gesture of hospitality that we later learned more about and loved.
The private beach below the cliffs is beautiful, with buggy transfers available if needed, and the pool bar menu was a refreshing surprise, offering fresh, high-quality dishes rather than the typical resort fare.
Everything at Koia feels intentional, thoughtful and deeply considered. We left feeling rested, healthy and completely disconnected from the outside world in the best possible way.
A special thank you to the team members who made our stay particularly memorable:

Chef Emmanuelle

Thank you for making our stay so special.
Wow, what an amazing place.
My husband and I have just returned from a blissful week at Koia Hotel, and it was absolutely fabulous. We stayed in a suite with a private pool, which was beautiful. The room was very well equipped, with a lovely patio area for dining and, of course, the stunning pool.
The outstanding feature of this hotel, however, is its staff. I have been fortunate enough to stay in some incredible hotels around the world, including Four Seasons properties, but the service here is the best I have ever experienced. Everyone is so warm, friendly and genuinely helpful. Nothing is too much trouble, everyone remembers your name, and they truly make you feel special.
A special mention to Alex in the restaurant, Maria, who hosted an amazing wine tasting experience, and the two wonderful therapists in the spa (I'm so sorry I can't remember your names!). You were all incredible and helped make our stay so memorable.
The food is fantastic, the spa treatments are wonderful, and the experiences they offer are excellent. The wine tasting and floating breakfast were particular highlights and felt like real treats.
There is also a private beach area about a 10-minute walk away, with a golf buggy service available for the return journey up the hill. We actually didn't spend any time there because we couldn't bring ourselves to leave the beautiful resort. The beach itself is pebbly and close to the road, so for us the resort was the real star of the show.
I am struggling to find any negatives. The only minor point is that the spa robes could be a little larger, as they seem to be designed for very petite guests! Other than that, everything was exceptional.
If you are looking for pure relaxation in a luxury adults-only resort, this is the place for you. If you're looking for a high-energy holiday packed with activities, then it may not be the right fit.
We will absolutely be back.
This hotel is nothing short of perfect; the location is wonderfully quiet with stunning views from sunrise to sunset from all angles of the property, the architecture and design is beautifully done yet also accommodating to yours needs, the food and drinks is amazing; there is a fantastic selection of greek wines in particular and because they grow all the herbs and a lot of the produce themselves in the hotel garden, there is a big emphasis on taste and flavours. The facilities are perfectly done and maintained; we had a a room without a private pool and therefore spent the majority of time by the communal pool, which always had space (probably because a lot of the rooms have private pools so a lot of guests spent their time there instead).
The absolute best part, however, was the incredibly nice and attentive staff; it made our stay incredible from the moment we arrived. It would have been a wonderful holiday regardless due to the standard and location of the hotel, but the staff made it truly one of a kind; particularly Alex, Panos and Marina were absolutely brilliant in hosting us!
I would say that the beach perhaps is the only downside since it is very basic and not attended with a bar or similar (there is water available though!) and to get there is a bit a walk, which you can choose to be driven to by golf cart, which makes it more convenient. Regardless, we still went down for an ocean swim on most days and enjoyed it very much. If you prefer being by a beach as opposed to a pool, this is not the hotel for you.
In terms of activities, they offer a wide range of things such as different tastings, detox programs, yoga and have a great spa. The massage we got there was fantastic as well.
We rented a beach buggy one of the days and explored the island and its beaches this way, which we can highly recommend; very nice to cruise around that way but ultimately we just loved relaxing at the hotel.
Would come back in a heartbeat!
The staff are the nicest people you will meet. Loved our time here.

KOIA is a fantastic and unique hotel. Beautifully situated on the hills on the quiet side of Kos Town, it offers spacious studios with an impressive view of the Aegean Sea. The themes of tranquility, nature, and hospitality are reflected everywhere, including in the exceptional service-oriented approach of the staff. You truly feel like a personal guest here.
Konumu, sakinliği, kafa dinlemek için mükemmel bir otel, çalışan personel çok yardımsever, son gün feribot saatimizden dolayı, rezervasyonlar full olmasına rağmen geç check out konusunda yardımcı oldular, ben çok memnun kaldım
