Eine Perle am Meer !
Das Anwesen ist außergewöhnlich, zum Essen sitzt man zwischen Olivenbäumen oder auf der wunderschönen Terrasse. Das Personal, sowie Chef und Sohn sind sehr aufmerksam und auf das Wohl der Gäste bedacht. Sowohl Frühstück als auch Abendessen fantastisch. Bis die Gäste abends gehen, hört man auf dem Zimmer natürlich die Musik des Restaurants, das war für uns aber kein Problem.
Auch den Pool im wunderschönen Ambiente des Olivenhains haben wir genutzt und konnten während unseres Aufenthalts herrlich entspannen.
Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen!

Tolle Lage inmitten der Olivenbäume. Das Essen ist absolut hervorragend und das leckerste was wir in 3 Wochen Montenegro gegessen haben. Das Personal ist herzlich und zuvorkommen. Die Zimmer sind groß und gemütlich eingerichtet.

Faccio una premessa. Il mio soggiorno avrebbe dovuto durare una settimana, ma non ci siamo fermati neanche la prima notte e quindi non posso assolutamente parlare della qualità della colazione né del ristorante. Mio marito ed io non vedevamo l'ora di passare una settimana qui per rilassarci tra gli uliveti. Al nostro arrivo ci ha accolto il responsabile del ristorante e un collaboratore ci ha portato in camera, dicendo che avremmo fatto il check in più tardi con il manager. Appena entrati ci siamo accorti subito che la stanza non corrispondeva alle foto presenti su Booking, visto che la camera risulta essere molto più spartana (allego le foto effettive della stanza e quelle che avevo visto su Booking durante la fase di prenotazione). Inoltre, dalle foto non si capisce che il water è all'interno della doccia nel lato sinistro, in corrispondenza della tv (con presa staccata e quindi non in funzione).
Abbiamo subito fatto notare le discrepanze, ma non essendoci il manager ci hanno consigliato di aspettare in piscina.
Purtroppo non ho foto che possano confermare quanto scrivo, ma c'era una tanica di detersivo vuota abbandonata a fianco di una idropulitrice per piastrelle a bordo piscina, l'acqua era sporca a causa di insetti morti e si vedeva che non era stata trattata in alcun modo, rendendola inutilizzabile. Infine, essendoci il ristorante già attivo alle 3,30 del pomeriggio si viene investiti sia dall'odore di cibo sia dal rumore costante del motore delle cappe della cucina, che sono situate in un gabbiotto a lato della piscina e che sono perennemente attive.
Una settimana così per noi non era pensabile, peraltro ad un costo non irrisorio. Abbiamo pagato la penale, fatto i bagagli e ce ne siamo andati dopo due ore prima di fare il check-in, visto che il manager sarebbe arrivato alle 18.
Останавливаюсь в отеле второй раз. Первый раз была 3 года назад. Очень радует, что качество обслуживания не теряется и остается на высоком уровне. Номера чистые, завтрак хороший, ресторан отличный. До пляжа можно дойти пешком, что я и делала в качестве зарядки, а наличие бассейна делает отдых более полным и расслабляющим. Спасибо за внимательное отношение и поддержку.
L’hôtel est situé au milieu des oliviers. Les chambres sont originales. Nous n’avons rencontré le patron que lors de notre départ mais celui-ci était très gentil et arrangeant. Le déjeuner était top.
C’est très bruyant jusqu’à 1-2h du matin, les chambres manquent de finition pour être considéré comme un 5 étoiles. La piscine était verte et floue, nous n’avons pas pu nous baigner.

I’ve been returning to Montenegro every summer since 2013, always looking for another beautiful place or hidden gem. After so many years, I thought I had already discovered most of them. Then I found Mashtra, tucked away in the beautiful Valdanos area among magnificent, timeless olive groves, and suddenly, I had a new favourite.
Set in a gorgeous old stone house and away from the usual tourist paths, Mashtra is the kind of place that feels genuinely authentic. It offers a rare combination of natural beauty, peace, and warmth.
What makes the experience truly special, though, is the people. The family who owns and runs the hotel, together with their wonderful staff, create an atmosphere of genuine hospitality. You can see how personally involved they are and how much care they put into making every guest feel welcome.
The food is another highlight. Breakfast was lovely, while dinner was exceptional, especially the fresh fish and seafood. And the extra virgin olive oil was simply outstanding, among the finest I have ever tasted. Everything felt fresh, homemade, beautifully prepared, and authentic.
Our room was comfortable, the bed exceptionally good, and we slept peacefully surrounded by the quiet of the olive groves.
After so many summers in Montenegro, I did not expect to find a place that would still surprise me. Hotel Mashtra did exactly that. It is not simply a beautiful hotel, it is an experience.
A heartfelt thank you to the whole family and team for such wonderful hospitality. We would absolutely return and warmly recommend Mashtra to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful, authentic stay near Ulcinj.

Nested among magnificent olive trees Hotel Mashtra provides extraordinary accommodations for guests who appreciate warm hospitality of genuinly kind and generous owners and their very professional and nice staff. It was beautuful seeing the owners working together with their employees to make every hotel guest welcomed. We noticed that many tourists are coming to this exquisit place located a few minutes away from the Old Town of Ulcinj for a very tasty and abundant breakfast, lunch or dinner which we also thoroughly enjoyed. Our room was extremely spacious, bright, beds were very comfortable, airconditioning was working perfectly. We loved the location of the hotel with parking lot where it was easy to park and also convenient for those who want to explore the region of south Montenegro. Tourists not familiar with Ulcinj should know that the downtown of Ulcinj and it's Old Town is very hilly with narrow streets and limited parking space. For convenience it is way better to book hotels such as Mashtra situated on the outskirts of the town, where it is peaceful and a parking lot is provided.
This hotel is recently built at an excellent location to explore Ulcinj and vicinity. It's very beautiful, clean and safe. The most valuable aspect of this place is the warm hospitality of the owners and their employees. We would definately stay in the very same hotel next time we visit Ulcinj and we would recommend it as the accommodation to all tourists who appreciate a beautiful hotel and restaurant in a gorgeous natural environment with a staff who are kind, hospitable and efficient.
