Spacious apartment with good breakfast
Pros:

Instead of a double room I got a whole apartment in a house nearby, with two bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen. This was much more than needed and well equipped. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly, location close to the centre, but in a quieter corner.

Cons:

There was some noise of construction works during the day, but I think there is always some noise in Egypt.

Pros:

The location was great, within walking distance of many of Alexandria's sights, including the citadel. We had two rooms which were both quite pleasant. The breakfast was nice.

Cons:

The main photo on Booking.com is misleading - it makes the hotel look a lot grander than it actually is and I don't know where it was taken (we saw nothing that looks anything like it). While the hotel was fine for the price, we were a bit disappointed when we arrived given the photo. Our family of 4 had two rooms which weren't together. When we arrived, we were offered to move to a family room, but it wasn't a very nice room and the shower was tiny with no curtain or door (the two rooms we stuck with were quite nice with proper showers, but it seems the quality of room varies quite a bit).

Bed Bugs on 13th floor Room 1
Pros:

The room was spacious, comfortable enough and with a very nice view of Alexandria.

Cons:

Unfortunately we had bed bugs. The first night we thought we got bitten by mosquitos but by our last night we discovered the bites were from beg bugs.
