Quiet place with a good location but in our case, without hot water.
Pros:

The location is wonderful, the people were calm. In general the place was quiet and good for resting. We were going to arrive late so we called the hotel before leaving and they were so kind to not mind moving the booking by a day.

Cons:

We were not having hot water at the room. The hotel representative said we should have but it was very small as both quantity and quality and absolutely not enough for taking a shower.
I beileve there were 1-2 hairs in the bed, but it happens. The main thing was the lack of hot water.

The room that I booked was awesome

Was it very clean, the location is on the center of the main plaza, everything is close, the restaurants are very near for the spot itself

A beautiful quiet place to relax and base yourself for Villa de Leyva
Pros:

Everything was fantastic. The room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. Location is quiet but close to the main plaza. Angela was very nice and welcoming

Pros:

The hostal was pleasant & extremely clean.
The security was so good the gate was locked and I was in the street. I had trouble convincing the staff on the phone that I had a confirmed booking for one night.
The bathroom is modern, the shower is hot.
On check out, I could leave my luggage and collect it later in the day. Maybe the manager? She apologies for the misunderstanding when I tried to check in the previous day. She was helpful & friendly.

Cons:

The exterior gate was locked. I phoned the number on the gate to get in. There was a misunderstanding by the contact staff stating there was no reservation. Another person phoned me back. I was eventually let in after 10 minutes waiting in the street for confirmation.
That staff member who checked me in and took me to the room was abrupt with no manners. She is not a good image for the hostal. Maybe she is a disgruntled cleaner!?!
The room I was given was clean but small. It was not the room I was expecting from the photos, for the price of one night.
There was no window that could be opened. The room was without fresh air.
I would not stay in this airless room again.
The one pillow provided was not very good.
