Grotta Hotel

This was our third visit to Naxos and our third stay at the Grotta. We organized our trip to ensure we were able to stay at the Grotta - the best hotel in Naxos! The family that runs the hotel are the best, the hotel is modern and beautiful, and the breakfast is legendary! We will be back.

Booked this hotel off seeing other reviews and not disappointed. Staff were so welcoming and friendly. Helped with reservations for dinners and transfers to the port upon arrival and departure. Breakfast was delicious and we took advantage of the private pool hot tub sauna area after a long day. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for others.

Accueil chaleureux, réceptionniste au petit soin avec bonnes adresses. Chambre propre et confortable. Literie excellente. Spa à réserver, privatisation aux horaires convenu. Petit déjeuner fait maison, large choix.

Clean, service/staff was excellent, breakfast delicious and spa was just cherry on top.

Awesome hotel with friendly staff. Picked me up from the ferry and dropped me off at the airport for no charge as well :)

Grotta Hotel is an absolute gem. Great service and an excellent value. It is a quick and scenic walk to the port and to Naxos town. Stay here, you will not regret it!

Gran experiencia, cuyo personal es muy amable y profesional. Nos ofrecieron algo de beber al llegar, lo cual después de un cmino de sol y calor nos sentó de maravilla. El desayuno es fantástico, y al gusto de cualquiera.

Spent four days on Naxos and very much enjoyed our stay at The Grotta.

The staff were great and very helpful, the hotel was very clean and well maintained. Our room was excellent and everything worked fine.

While the location is not central and does require some rough walking to get into town, the views were good - especially the sunsets - and we had absolutely no issues getting around.

We were very (very) grateful for the taxi transfers from the ferry to the hotel (and back again) - this made a big difference, even though the ferry port is very close (no sidewalks). Greatly appreciated!

Highlights (for us): the peace and quiet, the location for walking to the beach and dinner (about 1.4 miles) and the fun things to do. We especially enjoyed the large and very well provisioned Greek breakfasts!

All in all a most enjoyable stay and highly recommended.

Being greeted by friendly people with a complimentary glass of wine and quiche was amazing. I did not have to worry about anything. I asked for a sea view room and I got it. It was clean and lovely. Who needs a sound machine with the sound of the waves from the window? The breakfast was a spread AND delicious. I also appreciated the complimentary dessert left in my room. I will be back!

Don’t let the “2 star” hotel description fool you this place is an absolute GEM and is worth every penny and more for the price. From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted with top notch hospitality and attentiveness. Welcome drink, bags taken to our room, homemade daily breakfast, and amazing views plus they were always open and willing to give recommendations and advice on where to go and what to see. This is a must stay when in Naxos, you are close enough to town to easily get to everything you need and just far enough out that you can enjoy peaceful sunsets and quiet nights. I wish I could post photos because the sunset over the Temple of Apollo is a spectacular sight to see!
