Missed opportunities
Pros:

The house keeping staff did an excellent job cleaning the room and were always very friendly. The location is ideal for the bus and railway stations with supermarkets very nearby

Cons:

Our main concern was not being told about the Salzburg mobility pass until I asked for it on our penultimate day. Apparently the high city tax goes towards this pass for tourists on the local and regional buses and should be offered to guests on arrival. We would not have known about it had not the tourist information office told us about it. Staff at reception first excused their not having mentioned it because we didn’t ask for it and followed this by saying they were having problems with the software: either way I am €20 bus tickets out of pocket owing to their oversight. The hotel setting is amidst very unsympathetic, brutalist architecture and the square immediately outside the hotel is frequented by loud drunks at all hours. The walk into the city is unpleasant until you reach Mirabell Platz, which takes a good 15 minutes and a further 15 into the city proper. There was no fridge in the room, something I have not previously experienced in a 4* hotel. The room description mentions slippers, which never appeared and the tea, coffee and milk rations were quite restricted. Breakfast was adequate but limited in choice, though the catering staff were friendly. An extra pillow would have been nice.

Immer wieder gern im H+ Hotel Salzburg
Pros:

Die Lage 2 min. vom Bahnhof ist sehr günstig und bequem, wenn man am nächsten Morgen weiterreisen will.

Cons:

Der Teppichfußboden im Zimmer ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß.

Good location if you would like stay at the main station, to take train.
Pros:

The location was good. Direct at the main train station and the buses. There was a supermarket next door.
The station area can feel unsafe due to all sort kind of people hanging around the station area.

Cons:

Got a room with a bathroom for disabled / elder person. Would have appreciated a room with a normal bathroom and not a door to another room (even though the door was locked). Would have feel more comfortable.

Die Freundlichkeit des gesamten Teams und die Kundenorientierung. Auch die Öffnungszeiten des Wellnessbereiches fand ich positiv. Gutes Frühstück.

Cons:

Die Möbel im Frühstücksraum haben die besten Zeiten hinter sich.
