Beautiful hotel, with very helpful staff. Breakfast amazing, so much variety of tasty food. Very attentive staff getting coffee and anything else required. Room comfortable and well equipped. Lovely swimming pool. Close to a lake which was also good for swimming. The free travel pass was very useful.
Restaurants in Wals often not open, and didn't find a Supermarket so had to be organised about planning where or what to eat.
Lovely staff who were amazing, friendly, and helpful; Kiki the cat was adorable; comfortable beds; choices of saunas; small but great swimming pool; we always got a parking spot; lovely breakfast; decent working internet; balcony which allowed a lovely end of the day; quiet surrounding
Could do with Rolläden or blackout-curtains especially in summer; Air-condition took a long time to turn off; I am no fan of small roads and the hotel is surrounded by them; missed a kettle in the room with some coffee cups (glass just gets too hot)
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for day trips by car to places like Hallstatt and the nearby lakes, while Salzburg city center is only a 10-minute drive away. Free parking is a big advantage.
One small inconvenience was that there was no extra bottle of water available in the room during the night, and when I went downstairs to refill the bottle from the breakfast area, the door was locked. It would be helpful to have access to water available for guests at all times.

A little bit of a trek in to Salzburg … but having the guest pass to use free bus transport really helped

Perfect getaway spot from the bustle of Salzburg. The room was spacious, walk-in shower, comfortable bed. The pool and spa were a treat. Breakfasts had many choices. Family owners and staff helpful and friendly. Walking distance to good restaurants and access to a lake that was magical! Mountains in the distance.
For travelers off to explore during the day, this wouldn’t have been a problem but there is a weigh station for trucks transporting gravel across from the hotel. Loud intermittent truck noise.
