Hotel Tropical Daisy

The room looks nothing like the photos, all rooms are smoking rooms and the beds are so hard it is unbearable. The sheet covering the blanket doesent actually cover the whole blanket so your skin is touching the very dirty stained blanket and there are mosquitoes in the room. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else. This place is horrible

First of all the room looked completely different than the picture. It's small and outdated too much. Talking about cleanliness , they are so dirty even though visible. The hotel has no etiquette how to behave whatsoever with their guests. They let us change room THREE TIMES and not even a apology in sight. One thing can't forget which is breakfast... i mean goodluck. Who eats their breakfast which looks so oily and unhygienic. Smells so bad that room feels so suffocating. Plus they have mosquitoes and bed bugs!!!!

I am an old customer there, now all the services has become very bad. The rum is dirty, breakfast is real bad. Stuff is good but the management doesn’t care what customers say. I am so surprised that things have gone so wrong. I like area.

The property was located by the lake.Everything was nice even the rooms.However the only issue was there were too many mosquitoes.The washroom was connected to outside which would enable the mosquitoes to come inside.They bit me thewhole night

This is the best hotel in Gulshan. The staff is amiable. My stay was pleasant, and the staff was caring and friendly. My room was cleaned every day. The breakfast selection was terrific, with lots of options. I will say it again: the staff was really caring, and I 100% recommend this place. It is very close to shops and restaurants.

Service was very good as staff are quite good and friendly but the conditions of the room was terrible.No complimentary drink.The first thing they asked to pay first.If they improve the quality of the room then it’s okay.Breakfast same meal everyday no variety.

Aircon doesn’t work properly

Old hotel. Peeling wall paper. Stained sheets. No beverage service but water. Pretty unpleasant stay.

Stayed 3 nights and changed the room twice. First room full of mosquitoes, couldn't sleep much, second room had no hot water, the third room was fine. No airport pick-up even though their website says it. Rooms are outdated, especially the bathrooms need to be renovated. Because of the above hassle, I requested free late check-out, it was refused by the manager, had to pay 50% room rate. Breakfast is all right, had one dinner and it was good.
Will not stay here again.

The hotel staff was friendly and very kind. The restaurant was slow but I enjoyed each visit.

The hotel is located in between Gulshan and banani. It's by the bridge that connects the two neighborhoods, so moving to either is easy. It's an apartment building converted to a hotel, so the layout is very much like an apartment.

Pros.
Full time standby generator that also covers airconditioning. A big plus when during high summer /power cut season.

Reception staff is good. Late check in at the middle of the night went smoothly. (I did book the night before arrival)

Housekeeping is restricted. They don't enter the room on their own. You have to leave your keys with the reception, only then they'll come in for housekeeping.

Hot water supply was working and adequate for showers any time of day or night.

Cons.
Restaurant serves local dishes only. The Chinese cuisine is also a local version.

Breakfast is light, local dishes only, such parata, eggs, curries. There's a small selection of white bread with butter, jam.

The bathrooms and bedrooms are old style but they serve their purpose.

Over all, I'll come back to this place if my budget is the same.

NEVER GO THERE. I wouldn't even deign to give this hotel a one-star rating. It was a horrible place. The staff's behavior was extremely egocentric. I saw that they offered free airport pick-up on their website, so I called to confirm. Initially, I was told that I would have to pay 1000 taka (10 dollars) for the service, so I had no intention of taking it. However, they later called me back and confirmed that the service was indeed free and that they would send a vehicle for me. I was forced to wait at the airport for an hour and a half, only to find out that I still had to pay 1000 taka. It was a bizarre situation, and I could have traveled to the hotel without waiting for half the cost. When I questioned the staff about it, there was no genuine apology, only an egocentric response. The room was also nothing like the pictures on the website, which was a deceptive advertisement. The service was also very poor. I had to continually call for my room to be cleaned, and there were far too many mosquitos, which will make you sick. Lastly, they offered me a discount of 54 taka (0.5 dollars) on my room rate so that I must leave a positive review here, which I never asked from them lol. This hotel was truly horrendous.

very clean restaurant and food like fully hygienic. we just enjoyed. i was there for three night over all my experience was great. specially Mr, rakib who work in the restaurant he was very hospitality and suggestive and more polite. room is very clean and tidy. All stuffs are very well. thanks to all

honestly saying that hotel really awesome, cleaning, f&b service plus food and front office was very excellent. The place is very nice because there is a lake view in front of hotel. hopefully my next visit will be there again.

They are very good at their services. The lake views are amazing, their restaurant has also very delicious food and service.Beauty apu was amazing when she communicated with us. Infine, very safe and secured environment in a very nice place.

The housekeeping staff is very friendly and customer centric. The behaviour of the house keeping staff is good. Breakfast spread though less but was tasty and fresh. The hotel has a wonderful view of the Banani Lake. The only female staff, Ms. Beauty was very helpful and cordial.

Great behaviour by all the staffs, especially staff named Sharif. Very good service provided by them, and they are also very understanding and helpful. The food was also great and the rooms are good and cozy. Must visit.
