room airco is not perfect, breakfast ok, but not special. Big breakfastroom was often not set up in a nice way.
Staff was friendly and asking reviews offen
Mostly friendly staff. Helped my son with extra oxygen as he struggled with the altitude. Offered us free use of the lovely meeting room with a nice view for my wife’s retreat activities.
Rooms were a bit too warm. A bit noisy on the road to have windows open all night.
Staff agradable y vista bonita
Personal agradable
The first thing you need to know about this hotel is that it’s located outside of town. Once you are there, you either must taxi or have a vehicle to go anywhere. As a result, you’re at their mercy in terms of purchasing water at 5x the normal rate, eating at the overpriced, underwhelming restaurant where the servers are run ragged. It’s possible to have your water bottle filled by one of the very busy servers, but doesn’t feel right given how busy they are.
The buffet breakfast definitely has some high points - a variety of raw nuts, some delicious looking salads, yogurt parfaits were nice to see. The hot items varied but weren’t always hot (the candles aren’t lit until the food has been out for close to an hour), and the heavy lids are too much for many guests so the troughs remain open at times.
There is very uneven tile in the lobby - do be careful!
The refrigerator in the room wasn’t turned on, so if you’re wanting to put food in it make sure it’s on.
Our toilet ran the whole time we were there, so it needed to be wiggled at the handle to get it to stop so you could flush it again.
The shower head isn’t great and it took forever to get hot water.
Idk what the options are for this city, but we’d have been much happier with something in town and could have overlooked some of the other issues if we’d been able to walk to some shops and restaurants.

The rooms, views of Lake Titicaca and dining room are nicer than expected BUT...
This is a fairly large, modern, first class (not deluxe!) htl in a remote location 2 or 3 miles (4-5 kms) from town. No shops or restaurants within walking distance of the htl. You have to take a car to go to town. The Peruvian ride share app InDrive is good, dependable and less than half the price of Uber or that the hotel charges for a "private taxi".
The night time temperature during my February 2026 (summer in Peru!) stay was about 38⁰F. The guest rooms are surprisingly nice and comfortable with good housekeeping but the hallways are not heated and frequently are not even lit.
I have been in the group travel business for 45+ years. This is a rather strange hotel that has no dedicated Concierge that I ever found during my 4 nights here. There was never any evidence of experienced, competent management anywhere in the htl.
I saw one young man once at Reception otherwise had to contend with the young women who are without exception ARROGANT, UNHAPPY, UNFRIENDLY, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNHELPFUL, and singularly UNPLEASANT. Every interaction with them was difficult at best to extremely difficult most of the time. They clearly are unsupervised and totally unaware that they are supposed to be friendly, happy, pleasant and helpful to the paying guests.
One star less for the location - the view on Titicaca is definitely 5 star one but the distance from all other life is a great minus.
The room is spacious, and comes with a kettle, and some tea bags (no coffee). A great bonus is the refrigerator!
The breakfast is really, really good.
On the backside, the carpets are outdated, and the interior is about to ask for updating.
However, a good place.
A first class experience situated overlooking the southern end of Lake Titicaca. The views from the hotel are breathtaking.
I ate both nights at the hotel’s restaurant and the meals were very nicely cooked.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. My room - on third floor - had a large shared balcony with outstanding views of the city and the lake.
Most staff speak English and are friendly. Lorenz and Melanie are lovely waiters from the restaurant and Cinthya is excellent on reception. The only issue is that the hotel is a little isolated from the town of Puno but that could be a good thing for a quiet night.
