Overall Very dissapointing service
Cons:

To many basic mistakes for a so called 4 star hotel..

We took an elderly couple with us and every time we ordered food via room service or at the dine in restuarant, basic elementary mistakes were made which made our stay extremely annoying and very un pleasent.

We waited over an hour at the dine in restuarant for basic food, and with elderly people with us (one over 80) together with health issues, caused a lot of problems. Once the food arrived, it was wrong and came in dribs and drabs.

Same issue with food ordered via room service.

Although value for money and in a good location, for us, we found the service not up to scratch, dissapointing.

Excellent hotel, centrally located in a top area of Dhaka. Friendly staff and excellent facilities.
Pros:

I stayed a week in Bengal Blueberry, and the room, staff and services are excellent: the room is specious, has all the things you expect from a room, and it was very modestly priced compared to the excellent level of service. The hotel is also centrally located in Gulshan, with many good restaurants nearby, shopping malls etc.
Staff is excellent, very friendly and professional. I can really recommend staying here when you're in Dhaka!

Cons:

Menu options in the restaurant should include more VEGETARIAN/VEGAN food! The current menu is very meat-dominated.

Large room. It was quite quiet.

Cons:

The hotel has 4 stars, but it doesn't live up to its reputation. The furniture in the room is old, the walls are dirty. The bed linen is old and stained. I was offered an upgrade to a Deluxe room, but if it really is a Deluxe room, it's terrible. The hotel room doesn't meet modern standards. The view from the window is of a wall. The staff is annoying and always has questions for you. The breakfast is not continental, but a national breakfast. Small plates and cups. I left my backpack in the room with some ordinary things, and when I returned to the room in the evening, it was obvious that someone had rummaged through it. Valuables were in the safe. The room was poorly cleaned. The hot water ran out quickly. In the photo, I saw one room, a more modern one, but I stayed in a completely different one. The hot water is turned on by a separate switch on the wall, I have never seen this in other countries. The price for the hotel is overpriced. I do not recommend this hotel. This hotel needs a complete overhaul. The hotel does not allow inviting friends and girlfriends to the room, I don't know why, keep in mind In view of this. The exhaust fan in the bathroom doesn't work. I couldn't find the switch. There's little lighting in the bathroom and in the room itself.

Very friendly staff and rooms are spacious and comfortable. Very good price for the quality you get. The carpets and furniture are a bit old but well maintained, so still look nice.

Cons:

The hotel could consider replacing the towels. They're clean but a bit old.

Genius Level 3 — terrible experience, left early
Pros:

None worth mentioning. Being near Gulshan does not justify choosing this place — there are better and more flexible options in the same area.

Cons:

booked 4 nights but left early. After hundreds of stays around the world — including many in Bangladesh — (Genius Level 3), I can clearly say this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had.

The hotel does not allow guests into the room, even if you offer to pay. I had booked a double room with available sleeping space. I wasn’t trying to bring in a group or abuse the room — just one person. Despite that, my guest was refused entry and sent away. I offered to pay any surcharge: refused. No flexibility, no common sense, no customer focus. This is not hospitality.

I had also specifically requested a quiet room and was given the exact opposite: directly exposed to a mosque loudspeaker. The call to prayer is clearly audible multiple times a day, including around 5am. Sleeping becomes difficult. My request was ignored.

I was disappointed and chose to leave. I would not return under any circumstances and would not recommend this property to anyone. If you have alternatives, choose them without hesitation.
