Recently renovated, nice pool, spacious rooms and very friendly staff.
Breakfast and dinner selection could be better (and labeled!). Bathroom ventilation could also be better. The property mostly targets older couples, so as a young couple you’d definitely stand out.

We recently spent just one night at this stunning hotel on Kos Island, and it completely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything felt like a dream — the atmosphere, the service, and the attention to detail were truly five-star.
The hotel itself is luxurious in every sense. The design, comfort, and cleanliness were impeccable. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the start. Every interaction felt genuine and heartfelt.
The food was another highlight — absolutely delicious with a great variety, beautifully presented and full of flavor. You can tell they put a lot of care into every dish.
Although our stay was short, it left a lasting impression. We’re already planning our next trip back — this time for at least a week. Can’t wait to experience more of this amazing place!
Highly recommended to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable escape in Kos.
It was an all-round great stay in a small, modern hotel that left nothing to be desired. Especially the warm welcome and kindness of every staff member stayed in our memory. We were always greeted with a big smile and some warm words and we felt very at home.
Cozy, newly renovated rooms, very nice pool and outdoor area, everything clean and very well maintained. Cozy sun beds, overall very green area.
What should be highlighted is the delicious food, special requests are always accommodated and staff members ask every day if anything is missing.
We will especially remember the great evenings at the pool bar. We came into contact with many other vacationers because everyone was so open and sociable.
Big thank you and warm hugs to Thomas, Vaios and Harris, we laughed a lot thanks to you. You made our vacation special.

Air Conditioner is out of service”not working” on our room.I don’t prefer to use AC in September but unfortunately there are lots of mosquitoes on balcony so I couldn’t open balcony’s door.
There should have been drinking water in the room, unfortunately they forgot.
It has been a great stay — especially the warm welcome and kindness of all staff and the family who owns the hotel has been remarkable. I felt very at home. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated. Pool is in great condition, as are the sun beds and the restaurant area. The room is very large and also recently renovated. Beds are comfy. Nice view from the balcony. All in all I can definitely recommend this place! Thank you 😄
A bit disappointed that using the hotel safe costs €4 extra per night. Why? It’s there anyways, and every hotel >€100 per night has a hotel safe available. I would really recommend to change this policy. WiFi works but wasn’t always 100% stable. Would have loved some moussaka or other traditional dishes at the dinner buffet.

We stayed for one night at Golden Star Hotel. The dinner and breakfast were both very good, with a good selection on offer. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the setting was peaceful (good sunset view from the terrace at dinner).

Cleaners are absolutely great at their job and go the extra mile to make sure your experience is pleasant, pool area looks nice and relaxing, perfect for chilling. Area is quiet as it is located away from busy roads and crowded places. Toiletries are provided, hair dryer and a mini fridge.
First impression was below my expectations. The complex is quite small and offers no additional facilities besides the pool. We were informed of a complimentary upgrade upon check in, however the room we were escorted to seemed more like a downgrade. Staff was unnecessarily unpleasant on multiple occasions. I understand there are certain rules, such as not being allowed to bring your own food and drinks around the pool and dining area, however strict enforcement was completely uncalled for. My partner has to carry a small bottle of water everywhere with her due to her health condition, so she took it with her to the breakfast and was told off by one of the staff for not complying to the rules. Plain water was not included in the breakfast buffet. We also had ants in our room and there was no kettle. Overall, I had much higher expectations considering the price I paid for our stay at Golden Star Hotel and most likely won't be returning here ever again.

Food was excellent, the team were always on hand to help. There is really good atmosphere in the hotel during the day and in the evening. the rooms are decorated to a very high standard, the beds are comfortable and the entire team are kind and friendly.

Cold food. extremely noisy owner talking in a very loud voice throughout the day and at night and exceptionally loud music during some evenings until the early hours.
From the moment we arrived we were looked after by a Happy team. Nice size rooms with balconies Great air conditioning Big renovated bathrooms. Breakfast was plenty of choice and quality. Diners were something different every night with great attention from the staffs. Great place to stay
