Hotel Lake Breeze

Thanks to Team for your extended service. It was a good experience as a first timer in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I don't have any geographical idea and accessibility so thanks team for your guidance and provide me the right direction through out my journey. As far as hotel is concern it is a three star budget hotel with all the amenities. The Food quality was very good, healthy and tasty.

I spent 3 nights recently at this property during my Dhaka trip. I found the experience amazing. Hotel staffs were super attentive, the food was delicious, the location was cool, and the internet speed was very fast. But one problem that I faced here is that local calls were not possible from the room. Since I had no Bangladeshi sim, I had requested at the reception and they were connecting. So it was a bit problematic. But they always kept my request. So overall I will recommend the hotel.

My stay at this hotel was a very memorable one. The one thing I would take back from this trip is the kindness and hospitality of the hotel staff. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable.

Prachtig personeel heel aardig en hulpzaam. Kamers waren netjes maar mag wel up to date gehouden worden, te denken aan de matras bijvoorbeeld. Verder was de wifi ook heel zwak. Maar overall, een heel goed hotel!

What works - the hotel is a three star property located in the Gulshan area... the location is good with the good eating places nearby.. the rooms are basic but clean and everything was functional although a litle old.. the staff was good and cheerful and helpful.. the internet was free and the speed was good..

What does not work - the buffet breakfast was a disaster.. the service was unprofessional.. the spread was basic and for vegeterians the only option was toast butter jam / corn flakes and bananas.. there is not parking.. there was buildig being constructed next door and the noise starts at 7.30 am till 5 pm in the evening..so if you plan to stay in the room .. avoid this place over the next one year atleast..

I had an opportunity to visit lake breeze hotel last week, I found staff good and helpful. The hotel is a simple place with a meeting room on the top floor good for small meetings. Lunch is served on the ground floor, food was moderately good.

I had stayed at this hotel previously and been impressed by it. However, it has gone downhill since my last visit 3 years ago. I arrived late at night, and they hadn't turned on th A/C in my room, they always used to!! The room was shabby, it never used to be. It stank of cigarette smoke. The breakfast was sparse and poor quality. The service from the night staff was none existant, and at check out the next day, the reception staff were surly and gave an impression that they couldn't care. I will not be back.

It was a very fine venue for small seminar.lean, well managed. A restaurant, 30 rooms for stay or halt for night, with a large meeting room at 5th floor give a good sense to organize party, seminar etc.
Staff are well behaved and food also good.
Recommended for organizing small group meeting etc. For corporate approach one may get good discount

Our company used their conference room, Tulip, and found the experience very good. The staff were quite accommodating and the location site made it quite easy to access for all seminar participants.Will definitely use it again.

This hotel was absolutely fantastic...until the 5th night of my stay, when it caught fire. With no fire alarm, I was woken up at 4am to a room full of smoke and had to crawl down the main stairs from the 6th floor as there was no fire escape (unfortunately pretty normal in Bangladesh). I am lucky to be alive. The bottom 2 floors were completely gutted by the fire so not sure if this place will be opening again, but if it does, I would recommend checking they've upgraded their safety standards before booking in!

Very comfortable, clean and courteous. Excellent food, strong WiFi and everything worked like it was supposed to - which is far from my normal experience of Dhaka hotels. Good airport pickup/drop-off service, and close to the airport as well as being in a pleasant, leafy part of Gulshan.

The hotel staff could not do any more to make me feel welcome. I was a little apprehensive when I was picked up at the airport by the hotel driver holding a sign bearing little resemblance to the spelling of my name! I only knew it was me when I saw the company name below.

I stayed here for two weeks on a business trip. The hospitality throughout the hotel was excellent (room, restaurant and laundry services carried out with a smile). The hotel offers a complimentary airport shuttle and breakfast, and the room was spacious with a newspaper delivered daily. Cable TV is available on a not-so- modern TV. The hotel is being renovated to update the outdated bathrooms - the shower curtain was appalling and the showers all need attention urgently, so the renovation is welcome. But the rooms are clean with fresh towels placed in the bathrooms daily. Close to well-stocked department store and restaurants. I recommend this hotel for future visitors.

This a good hotel in the Gulshan area, given the terrible traffic situation in the city, it is prudent to be closer to the location of your work. This hotel is close the American Consulate and several other embassies. Approach to the hotel is a bit complicated but a local driver should manage. The hotel provided me with an airport drop / pick-up service which was really good. The rooms are good sized and adequate for this class of hotels. The bathroom could be spruced up a bit more - the shower was a bit under efficient for me! The food (room service) was upto standard with a variety of food. I stayed with their Bengali and Thai options and both were good. The breakfast option is a bit monotonous at their restaurant - buffet. Wish they creatively added some luchis, dals etc. The one peeve I have is that they do not have a coffee - tea making facility in the room and charge an atrocious Taka 40 for each cup of tea! The wifi speed was just about adequate. The staff at the hotel are quite responsive and friendly. Overall a good place to stay, safe and clean.

This is a good hotel for business travelers, especially those who need to be close to Gulshan. While it could deal with a few practical improvements, in general, it has everything you need and is comfortable and safe. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Good:
- Comfortable bed, great pillows
- Large room
- Very clean and well-kept
- Good a/c, which is an absolute must in Dhaka
- Room service quick and food good
- Consistent power
- Very reasonable price

Could use improvement:
- Internet speed was serviceable, but a bit sluggish. Not possible to watch videos and took a while to download pictures and big files.
- The coffee in the restaurant at breakfast was terrible. C'mon guys, you can get good coffee in Dhaka, just invest in that. (The Lake Shore hotel, with a North End coffee shop inside is a 1-minute walk away, and I learned to just go there.)
- No power outlets near the bed. (They did give me an extension cord, though.)
- Water pressure in the shower was pretty weak.

Overall, though, just minor quibbles. Would definitely choose again if going to Dhaka.

I stayed in a room on the top floor. I can recommend this hotel to others, and may stay here next time too.
- Hotel staff and the manager are very friendly.
- Hotel has 3 or 4 variations of breakfast. You can order your favourite egg menu.
- Room size is enough to open a big luagge.
- Bath room has a shower with a bath tub. (* It may depend on room type.)
- Room equiptement and amenity (Air conditoner, ventilator. TV with cable network, good connection of free-wifi) are comfortable.
- Convenient location for those who has business in Gulshan area.

The only one problem I had was construction noise from the surrounding area at night. It happned during 2 nights out of 10. Though it was out of this hotel's controll, it may happen during your stay too.

I stayed here when visiting projects with an NGO, it was very clean and comfortable, breakfast was good, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room comfortable and the plumbing all worked efficiently.

After reading the reviews in TripAdvisor i booked this hotel. Last week i was in Dhaka for a 2 day visit. Very very courteous staff and extremely polite. Food was also good. I had booked a double bed room on first day since they did not have double bed they offered me a twin bed room, later next day they upgraded me to s suit room. The complementary pick and drop to airport was indeed very helpful. In my next visit will definitely stay there.
