Location perfect, very close to the main square with the grand Mosque and fort but a couple hundred meters away where it is quiet. Was walking distance to the train station where we arrived. The building is old and has traditional charm but was still very clean and orderly. WiFi worked very well. Decent restaurant downstairs and a number of upscale but still reasonably priced other ones nearby as well, and even cheaper snack bar options as well. Very large supermarket about 500 meters away that even had a section with wine and other alcoholic drinks. We didn't indulge but it's an option not found so easily. Was popular with independent travelers. Got good advice from the staff about the bus to Djerba that was not even mentioned on the bus website. They also mentioned that the best way to Monastir is by the metro (station is 10 minutes by foot) and to Kairouan by Louage (station a couple of kilometers but a cheap taxi ride if you insist the driver uses the meter.) I would certainly recommend this place and stay here again!
Our room was a bit small but we chose one with bathroom and shower which worked well, water was hot. I expect that rooms without shower/WC might have a bit more space
The design and tradition look. The staff made me feel right at home.
There wasn’t anything I disliked. But because it’s close to the Medina it’s difficult to avoid being harassed by difficult people forcing you to buy things you don’t want.
I liked everything about Hotel Paris.

Great location, 5 mins walk from the train station, in the medina but at the gate so no struggle finding it. Lots of foreigners staying there, safe, reception 24/, super clean, thick cotton sheets, lovely rooftop. Beautiful traditional building and nicely decorated rooms. The shared bathrooms are spotless.
No heating, I was there in January, it's ok if you're sitting outside and it's sunny but the rooms are freezing. I stayed 3 times in 3 separate occasions but only 1 night each time cause there's hot water but the bathrooms are too cold to get undressed. No kettles so you can't even warm up with a hot drink. The place is great but in the winter you're just awfully uncomfortable

暖房器具を使うことができなかった。だだし予備の毛布があった。

It's more of an Airbnb vibe than a hotel, which is not bad but I just wasn't expecting it given the name.
