* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is expected for the lower Stehekin Valley. * WHERE...A portion of North Central Washington, including the following county, Chelan. * WHEN...Until 800 PM PDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...When the Stehekin River gauge hits 19.3 feet, water breaches the river bank. At 20 feet, water inundates some properties and overtops the temporary corduroy bridge. Company Creek Road is beginning to flood in places at the northern end. Battalion Creek culverts are beginning to be overtopped. At 20.5 feet, water begins to damage Wood Road. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 657 PM PDT, the Stehekin River was above Action Stage. Flooding is ongoing or expected Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. the warned area. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area through Saturday evening. Strongest winds occurring between 8 PM to 5 AM. * WHERE...Number 1 Canyon, Pangborn Airport, Nespelem, Entiat, Brewster, Chelan, Tonasket, Oroville, Cashmere, Plain, Wenatchee, Disautel Pass, Leavenworth, Number 2 Canyon, Omak, Bridgeport, and Okanogan. * WHEN...Until 11 AM PDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strongest wind gusts for the Okanogan Valley are expected south of Omak. Gusts 40 to 50 mph expected between Omak and Oroville.

Additional snow accumulations between 1 and 3 feet Thursday morning through Friday night. * WHERE...Holden Village and Stevens Pass. * WHEN...For the Blizzard Warning, until 5 AM PDT Thursday. For the Winter Storm Warning, from 5 AM Thursday to 5 AM PDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow during the blizzard warning. Strong winds could cause tree damage Wednesday night. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Colder air will arrive early Thursday morning with temperatures dropping back into the 20s. From Wednesday night to Friday night, periods of snow expected at Stehekin. Snow will change to rain each afternoon. Total accumulations around 6 to 9 inches at Stehekin.
