Itinerary

    Day 1

    Cusco – Abra Malaga – Huamanmarca – Pispitayoc (Biking, Rafting)

    Cusco Cathedral

    After a hotel pickup between 6:30am and 7:00am, We will head on a 1.5 hour ride to Ollantaytambo. In ollantaytambo We stop a short time here you can buy water, snacks,sunscreen,repellent or something else that has been forgotten. Then, we'll continue for 1.5 hour more towards the Abra Malaga High Pass (4,350 meters) where our adventure begins. After a safety briefing, you will enjoy a thrilling 2.5-hour bike ride down into the lush and humid jungle. You will see Huamanmarka Archaeological site along the way, before arriving to Santa Maria village around 2:30pm. After lunch we travel by bus to the town of Santa Maria, where our rafting activity begin in this camp we will receive a briefing for the activity and the safety equipment, including helmets and life jackets. After the rafting adventure, to finish the afternoon the whole group will meet in the hostel where we will dinner and spend our first night surrounded by vegetation, accompanied by an orchestra of jungle sound.

    INCA TRAIL TREKKING - HOT SPRINGS (Santa Maria - Santa Teresa)

    We start the second day of our Inka Jungle Tour at 7:00 am with a delicious local breakfast and a nice cup of homegrown, homemade coffee in the middle of the jungle. We begin trekking around 8:00 am, and after approximately 30-40 minutes we join the original Inca Trail. Along the way you will witness the diverse flora and fauna of one of the richest biodiversity areas in the world. Fruit trees such as pineapple, papaya, banana grow around us, and different species of birds flutter around. After around 2.5 hours of walking, we arrive in Quellomayo village, where we will have lunch and take a rest in hammocks to prepare for the rest of the trip. After the break we continue trekking for around 3 hours, crossing farms, waterfalls and rivers (including one we cross in a cable car!). At around 4 pm we arrive at Cocalmayo - better known as the hot springs of Santa Teresa, where we will have the opportunity to take a relaxing, warm bath. Cocalmayo offers several relaxing hot springs, each with its own temperature. After the break at the hot springs we continue walking for about 40 minutes until we reach the town of Santa Teresa where we will stay for a night. (There are taxis available for this last stretch if you prefer, not included). After dinner you will have free time to explore the town, or just relax and take a nap. Santa Teresa offers a variety of local pubs and discotheques where you can enjoy the nightlife, taste typical Peruvian beverages and meet the locals.

    ZIP LINE - TREKKING (Santa Teresa - Aguas Calientes (Machu picchu town))

    Hot Springs (Aguas Calientes)

    Today we have breakfast at 7am.after a good breakfast, we will head toward the nearby zip lining location. Here, we will experience different zip lining routes, cross a suspension bridge, and do some light rock climbing.After this activity, the bus will bring us to Hidroélectrica where we will enjoy our lunch. We can relax here for a while, then continue onto the route toward Aguas Calientes. We will walk for about 3 hours and along the way you will encounter beautiful waterfalls, different wildlife, next to the beautiful Urubamba river. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, we will get together in a local restaurant to enjoy a great dinner and have a briefing about our next excursion to Machu Picchu. After dinner, you are free to explore the city of Aguas Calientes.

    Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco (Trekking)

    Hot Springs (Aguas Calientes)

    Very early in the morning we will have breakfast at the hotel and then we will take the bus to ascend to Machu Picchu citadel. After 25 minutes climbing we will be on the uphill and there we can enjoy the stunning sunrise. By that time, we will have a brief introduction about the history and architecture of the citadel and also one of the 7 wonders of the world. After that you will climb Huayna Picchu mountain, around one and a half hour, then you will be literally on the clouds. You will be surprised with the sight. It is important to note that the GUIDED TOUR does not include the Huayna Picchu Mountain or mountain machu picchu, you will go by your own because this is just a view point where you can take amazing photos of machu picchu citadel.Once back from Huayna Picchu, the guided tour starts. You’ll be amused with the constructions and temples, as well as, the nature surrounding the place, after the end of the guided tour, you’ll have time to freely explore the magic place by yourself. We’ll be back in the afternoon in Aguas Calientes with time to have lunch, rest or make a last tour in the town. At the end of the afternoon we’ll take the train and the bus back to Cusco.
