Jaflong is one of the most attractive tourist spot in Sylhet division, situated at the border between Bangladesh and the Indian state of Meghalaya, overshadowed by subtropical mountains and rain-forest, beside the river Mari. It is scenic spot nearby amidst tea gardens and rare beauty of rolling stones from hills. It is famous for it’s stone collections and is home of Khasia Tribe. Lalakhal is a blue water canal at Sylhet surrounded by mountains of Meghalaya, about 01 hour drive from Jaflong.

    We’ll take you to visit the century old Keane Bridge built on colonial period and one of the main entrance To the city. The Keane Bridge is a notable landmark of Sylhet city, Bangladesh. After Earl Robert Miller, the ambassador of USA to Bangladesh visited the bridge and recommended its sole use as a pedestrian bridge, no vehicles are allowed to ply on the bridge. This bridge was built in 1936 and is named after Sir Michael Keane who was the English Governor of Assam from 1932 to 1937. It is made of iron and steel and looks like a bow. The bridge is 1150 feet long and 18 feet breadth. About Taka 5.6 million was spent to build the bridge.

    The Surma River is a major river in Bangladesh, part of the Surma-Meghna River System. It starts when the Barak River from northeast India divides at the Bangladesh border into the Surma and the Kushiyara rivers. It ends in Kishoreganj District, above Bhairab Bazar, where the two rivers rejoin to form the Meghna River. The waters from the river ultimately flow into the Bay of Bengal. The average depth of river is 282 feet (86 m) and maximum depth is 550 feet (170 m).

    Hazrat Shahjalal Mazar Sharif

    Shaykh al-Mashaʾikh Makhdum Shaykh Jalal Mujarrad bin Muḥammad Kunyāī (Arabic: شيخ المشائخ مخدوم شيخ جلال مجرد بن محمد كنيائي‎), popularly known as Shah Jalal, is a celebrated Sufi Muslim figure in Bengal. Shah Jalal's name is often associated with the Conquest of Sylhet and the spread of Islam into the region, part of a long history of interactions between the Middle East, Turkestan and South Asia. Various complexes and religious places have been named after him, including the largest airport in Bangladesh, Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

    Shah Paran was a 14th-century Sufi saint of the Sylhet region. In 1303, he took part in the final battle of the Conquest of Sylhet led by his maternal uncle Shah Jalal.

    Jaflong Gardens

    Pick-up at 9.00 H from hotel, and a scenic drive toward Jaflong (58 Km, 02 hrs). Here you’ll pass your time idly enjoying the beauty of Jaflong. You’ll get an opportunity to photograph the stone collection activities on the river where the collect stones manually and take into crushers, which is highly photogenic. We will take you to the river on a local boat to photograph the stone collecting activities.

    Lunch on a decent restaurant run by Nazimgarh Resort overlooking the river. Visit the village of Khashia tribe and see their lifestyle. You can visit their gardens and see how they grow betel leaves. Return to Sylhet in the evening.

    Boat riding at Lalakhal, and by Train Back to Dhaka.

    Check-out from hotel and start at 8.00 H, drive to sarighat (37 Km, 01 hr). Upon arrival, transfer to the boat. Enjoy boat ride on the blue-water canal Lalakhal. We’ll take you to the end of the canal close to Indian boarder and back, which will be about 2.5 hrs ride in total. We’ll use a motorized local wooden boat for the journey. Back to Sylhet, have lunch and transfer to train station.
