In the private tour, we include the pick-up from all the hotels located in Cusco and the Sacred Valley of the Incas. On the Shared Tour, we only pick up from hotels that are within 5 blocks of the main square of Cusco. If your hotel is outside the aforementioned area or in another place such as the Sacred Valley, you must approach the water source of the Regocijo square of Cusco on your own. You must be there at 8:20 a.m., because our Shared Tour starts in the city of Cusco at 9:00 a.m.

    Complejo Arqueologico Chinchero

    At 8:30 a.m., the professional guide and mobility will pass by your hotel in Cusco. Then take a 40-minute trip to the colorful city of Chinchero. Together with your expert guide, explore the city where the Inca culture is maintained, see the natives with their typical costumes and large agricultural terraces. Also, visit the beautiful colonial church. Then, visit a family home where the locals will make a magnificent demonstration of the textile process of their ancestors. NOTE: The Chinchero archaeological site and the colonial church are not included in the shared tour, only in the private tour.

    Salinas de Maras

    After Chinchero, head to the Maras salt mines and see the process of selecting and collecting salt in its more than 4000 small wells. It is the place where salt has been harvested since pre-Inca times.

    Moray

    Then, continue your trip to the experimental agricultural center of Moray. It is the place where the Incas took advantage of a natural depression to build ring-shaped overlapping terraces. Each of the terraces has different microclimates where the Andean men adapted plants to the new ecosystem. Arrival at your hotel in Cusco or Plaza Regocijo at approximately 2:30 p.m. Note: On the Private Tour. If you are staying in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, do not worry, we pick you up and drop you off at your hotel, tell us the location and name of your hotel. Also, if you travel at night by train from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu, we will leave you at the station. On the Shared Tour. The tour begins and ends in Regocijo Square, Cusco.
