What's Included

Second day: Machu Picchu ticket, any circuit depending on availability. Not Huaynapicchu / mountain.
Lodging in the Aguas Calientes town in a double or triple room.

Itinerary

    Day 1

    First Day: Cusco - km 104 - Machu Picchu town.

    At 4:00 a.m., our staff will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to take you to the Ollantaytambo train station. Then take the Expedition train that leaves at 6:10 am to the KM - 104 of the railroad and pass the control of the Inca Trail escorted by an English-speaking professional guide. Begin the trek by visiting the Inca city of Chachabamba, then continue on an ascending path until you reach Wiñaywayna, another beautiful Inca city. Here, take a short break to enjoy your lunchbox and then continue until you reach sun gate, the highest point of the route (2,720 meters / 8,922 feet). From the Sun gate, enjoy the Machu Picchu panoramic view surrounded by beautiful scenery. Finally, descend to the Machu Picchu viewpoint, where you can enjoy the classic view and take excellent photographs. Then, take the bus to the Aguas Calientes town and check in at your hotel. In the evening, your guide will suggest a good restaurant for dinner, where you can enjoy excellent Peruvian food.

    Second Day: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu – Cusco.

    After breakfast, together with your excellent professional trekking tour guide, take the bus to Machu Picchu (25 minutes), the Wonder of the World. Passing the checkpoint, stroll through the urban area and visit the sun’s temple, the royal house, water mirrors and other highlights. After your tour, bid farewell to the “Lost City of the Incas”, board a bus to Aguas Calientes town and have lunch on your own. Later (14:55, 15:20, or 18:20 hours), board your return train to Ollantaytambo, upon arrival be greeted by our staff, and continue your trip back in a tourist minibus to the Cusco city. Note: If you have booked the ticket to climb Huaynapicchu Mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain, go up after visiting Machu Picchu Citadel, it will take you 3 to 4-hour up and down.
