Visiting the mountain of 7 colors is to enjoy its colorations of the mountain, appreciate the beautiful panorama, the unique Andean culture, abundance of flora and fauna are the wonders that make this route perfect. Today, more traveling are those who want to venture into the bowels of the Vinicunca mountain.

To visit this beautiful site was only possible by the district of Pitumarca , in the province of Canchis but now we introduce you the new route by Cusipata, which takes advantage of the old route since access to the mountain of colors becomes much easier. If your physical condition is not the best then this new route is for you.

Itinerary

Duration: 12 hours (approximately)

    Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain

    Around 3:30 a.m. we will pass by your hotel in our private touristic transport, to then move on the route to the south of the city of Cusipata Paucarpata. We will walk around 2 hours approximately where we will enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet. (Scrambled eggs, cheese, ham, fruit salad, hot drinks, etc.). After our breakfast we will continue an approximate 40 minutes to Llachoc’s Control Point where we will start the trekking. Once arriving at this point, our guide will give you the instructions and recommendations of the route and the last scopes to finally start. The walk will last us an approximate of 1 hour and 20 minutes until we reach the top of Vinicunca or Mountain of Colors 5030 Msnm. On the way we will observe a great multitude of llamas and alpacas that have never seen, that are at the mercy of shepherds dressed in beautiful colorful costumes.

    Vinicunca Mountain

    After passing by beautiful gorges leading to the highest parts, surrounded by snowy peaks (Ausangate), almost reaching the top we will observe the change of landscape, the mountain range of color of Vinicunca (5020 m / 16.466 ft.). Arriving at this point between 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Here our guide will explain in detail about the orography, ecosystem and color of the mountain, then take from another horizon the most beautiful photos of the mountain of 7 colors, we will see the beautiful landscape from the highest point 5080 m. After that we will take the return route through the viewpoint of the Red Valley, Red Mountains, walk on this ecosystem considered Andean desert. Last Visit to another Vinicunca point for the photos, and return to , where our vehicle will be waiting. then we will have our delicious lunch Buffet Variety of local Food. then return to the city of Cusco. Arriving approximately around 5:00 p.m.
