    Cusco - Huilloc - Weaving - Agriculture

    Approx. at 06:00 a.m. The staff of the agency will pick you up from your respective hotel in Cusco, we will head to the Sacred Valley of the Incas along the Chinchero route, we will make a short stop at the Raqchi Viewpoint to appreciate part of the Sacred Valley. Then we arrive to Urubamba to later arrive at Ollantaytambo where we will make a small stop to know this beautiful town. At 10:00 a.m. approximately we will reach our destination the community of Huilloc. Welcome to the community of Huilloc The inhabitants will give us a very warm welcome with music, dances, and their typical costumes, then we will be given some typical costumes, and we will dress as the residents of Huilloc. Accommodation in the rooms of the families of Huilloc and we prepare for our activities in Huilloc.

    Activity 1 “Demonstration of fabrics”: In this activity we will have the opportunity to learn the traditional techniques used in the preparation of their materials, the extraction of wool and the use of natural dyes, this activity is carried out by women. At the appropriate time we will have a typical lunch and delicious lunch awaits us, it can be a Cuy to the firewood accompanied by the natural products of the community, or some other dish previous coordination with the agency.     Celebrate the elaboration of Huilloc clothing by learning the traditional techniques of weaving art, from the process of dyeing with natural colors, to the culmination of the garment. Understand the distinctive features of each suit worn by children, youth and adults. Learn to interpret the meaning and importance of its iconography. You will also have the opportunity to acquire a beautiful and authentic garment from Huilloc, as a way to contribute to the identity of this Inka people and their artisans. After our delicious lunch we will have a farewell to the family, to then take our transport to Ollantaytambo where we will take our train to the town of Aguas Calientes for 2 hours which is close to Machu Picchu.

    Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu

    Today we will visit Machu Picchu. we will visit the famous sacred city of the Incas, the precious stone city of Inca development. You will decide, with your tour guide, the best time to start your day. Many people want to ascend at 4 a.m. walk to the transport station to take one of the main transports to Machu Picchu. It can be nice to get to the base in the vestiges when they open, at 6 a.m., to obtain the supernatural mists in the remains when the sun rises. After a 25-minute bus to Machu Picchu, your tour guide will take you to the best prospects before hikers arrive. Around 2:30 or 3 p.m., you must take the transport to Aguas Calientes to have the lunch in one of the numerous restaurants that are there. Make sure you get to the train station 30 minutes early.
