First stop: Qorikancha The tour starts at the historic Qorikancha, ancient Temple of the Sun, considered the most important religious precinct of the Inca Empire. Here you can appreciate the impressive Inca architecture and its fusion with the Convent of Santo Domingo, built on its foundations after the arrival of the Spanish. ️ Cusco Historical Center We continue with a panoramic visit of the Plaza de Armas and the traditional streets that preserve original Inca walls, reflecting the perfect combination of Inca history and colonial architecture. Archaeological Sites Nearby Afterwards, we proceed to the main archaeological complexes located on the outskirts of the city: • Sacsayhuamán – Stunning ceremonial fortress with huge stone blocks perfectly assembled. • Qenqo – Ceremonial center with underground galleries. • Puca Pucara – Former military construction and checkpoint. • Tambomachay – Known as the “Inca Bath”, famous for its canals and water fountains.

After touring this sacred church, we will continue on foot with our group through an ancient street built by the Incas that runs from the Plaza de Armas to Coricancha, the Temple of the Sun (15 S/ entrance not included in the tourist ticket). Already in Coricancha, you can immediately observe the combination of Inca culture and Catholicism. You will also learn about the architectural differences between the Incas and the Spanish. The Coricancha was the main temple for the Incas and the center of the city from where all their highways departed. Consequently, its incredible architecture is on complete display throughout the site. (Part of the Full Tour)
