With its huge size, marvelous architecture and decorations, it is no less charming than its neighbor, the Sultan Hassan Mosque.

Established mainly at the beginning of the 14th century, this historical burial site contains some amazing funerary complexes constructed by the Mamluks in Egypt, including the Mosque of Qaitbey, the Complex of Sultan Ashraf Baresbay, and the Complex of Faraj Ibn Barquq.
