Arrival in Cusco & City Tour Depending on your arrival time in Cusco, our transfer driver will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to your hotel. Cusco City Tour Schedule Morning group: 09:00 – 14:00 Afternoon group: 13:00 – 19:00 Sites Visited Qoricancha Temple (Temple of the Sun): The most important religious center of the Inca Empire, dedicated to the worship of the Sun. Sacsayhuamán: A ceremonial fortress located 2 km from Cusco, known for its massive stone structures and as the main site of the Inti Raymi festival. Qenqo: An archaeological site whose name means “labyrinth” in Quechua, featuring a semicircular structure used for ceremonies. Puca Pucara: Known as the “Red Fortress,” a military and surveillance complex with terraces, stairways, and walls. Tambomachay: Also called the Baths of the Inca, famous for its water fountains and ceremonial use. The tour concludes with the return to Cusco.
Sacred Valley, Maras & Moray Tour The Sacred Valley, Maras and Moray tour starts between 06:00 and 06:30 with hotel pick up in Cusco. First stop: Chinchero Known as the “Cradle of the Rainbow,” Chinchero is famous for its handicraft market and its colonial church built on Inca ruins. Second stop: Moray An archaeological site featuring impressive circular terraces used by the Incas for agricultural experiments. Third stop: Maras Visit the Maras Salt Mines, with more than 3,000 salt pools offering a unique and spectacular view. Fourth stop: Urubamba Time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant surrounded by the green landscapes of the Sacred Valley. Fifth stop: Ollantaytambo Explore the Ollantaytambo fortress, an Inca architectural masterpiece with massive terraces and panoramic views. The tour ends in Ollantaytambo, where travelers board the tourist train to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, a hotel host will meet you and escort you to your hotel.
Meeting in Aguas Calientes Meeting point at the main square of Aguas Calientes after prior coordination. The guide will provide explanations about bus tickets, entrance fees, and the guided Machu Picchu tour. Transfer to Machu Picchu Group meeting with the professional guide and transfer by shuttle bus to Machu Picchu (approx. 35 minutes). Visit to Machu Picchu Entrance to Machu Picchu according to the scheduled time and assigned circuit. Enjoy a 2-hour guided tour of Machu Picchu, visiting the most important highlights of the Sanctuary with an expert guide. Return to Aguas Calientes Bus ride back to Aguas Calientes at the agreed time. Return to Cusco 18:00 or 19:00: Tourist train from Machu Picchu to Ollantaytambo (arrival at the station 30 minutes in advance). 19:50 or 20:50: Arrival in Ollantaytambo and transfer by tourist transport back to Cusco.
Rainbow Mountain Day Trip (Optional Humantay Lake Tour) Important: This tour can be done as described or exchanged for a Humantay Lake day trip. Start in Cusco Hotel pick up from the historic center of Cusco between 04:00 and 04:30. For hotels in remote areas, a designated meeting point will be arranged. Trip to Cusipata Departure from Cusco at 05:00 am. Travel approximately 2 hours to Cusipata, where you will enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast. Trek to Rainbow Mountain (7 Colors Mountain) Continue by vehicle for 1 hour to the Chillihuani parking area. Begin a 1.5 hour uphill hike to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca). Horses are available for rent (approx. 70 soles). Rainbow Mountain Experience Reach an altitude of 5,200 m.a.s.l., with free time to rest, take photos, and enjoy panoramic views of the Andes. Return to Cusco Descend and return to Cusipata for an Andean lunch. Travel back to Cusco, arriving around 17:00. Tour ends at Plaza Regocijo or Plaza San Francisco.
