The experience begins with a transfer from Cusco to the Sacred Valley, where you will take part in a curated llama picnic set in a peaceful natural environment. This immersive activity allows you to interact with these emblematic Andean animals while surrounded by mountain landscapes and open scenery. During the picnic, you will enjoy local products and panoramic views, creating an initial connection with Cusco’s living culture and rural traditions.
After this experience, the journey continues to Ollantaytambo train station, where you will board the train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel to rest and prepare for the next day’s activities.
Early in the morning, you will ascend to Machu Picchu, regarded as a masterpiece of Inca architecture and engineering. During the guided tour, you will explore its main ceremonial, urban, and agricultural sectors while learning about the history, symbolism, and purpose of this sacred citadel. After the visit, you will descend to Aguas Calientes to board the return train to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and overnight in Ollantaytambo, a living Inca town surrounded by dramatic mountain landscapes.
On the final day, the journey begins with a visit to Pinkuylluna, a group of ancient Inca storage structures strategically built on the mountainside facing Ollantaytambo. From this vantage point, you will enjoy panoramic views of the Sacred Valley and the main archaeological complex below. The tour then continues to Ñaupa Iglesia, one of the most mystical sanctuaries in the valley. This Inca ceremonial center, carved within a natural cave formation, was used for spiritual rituals and sacred ceremonies connected to the energy of the mountains.
