We pick up all passengers who are located within the historic center of Cusco, surrounding areas consult pick up point.
We begin the day at 4:00 AM, with a transfer from your hotel in Cusco to the Ollantaytambo train station. At 6:10 AM, we embark on our train journey towards the Inca Trail, arriving at Chachabamba (Km 104) around 7:00 AM. Here, we will present your passport at the INRENA control point and start our half-day hike to Machu Picchu. During the trek, we will explore the archaeological site of Wiñayhuayna, located in a lush cloud forest. After a hearty lunch, we will continue for two more hours until we reach Intipunku (Sun Gate), where we will enjoy breathtaking views of Machu Picchu and its surrounding mountains. We will enter the citadel through "The Guardian's House," where your guide will share the history and mysteries of the site, allowing you to capture iconic photos. Afterwards, we will take a bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will be taken to your hotel to rest. At 5:00 PM, you can enjoy a delicious dinner before spending the night.
On the final day of the excursion, we will start with breakfast at 5:00 AM before heading to the Aguas Calientes station to board the bus to the Inca city of Machu Picchu. To enter, you will need to present your original passport, entry ticket, and, if applicable, your student ID. Between 8:00 and 10:00 AM, your guide will take you to explore the main sites, ruins, and temples of Machu Picchu. Once you've finished your visit, you will use your included bus ticket to descend to Aguas Calientes. From there, we will board the "Expeditions" train to Ollantaytambo, where a bus will be waiting to take you to Cusco. The typical return time from Aguas Calientes is at 2:55 PM, but you can adjust your train schedule according to your preferences and planned activities, with prior coordination.
